Staying in Crete for one week at an all inclusive so meals and stay are covered. I am planning to take a one day trip to santorini ( might sample the local food but I’m not a big eater so I can economize) and adding an excursion another day so I’ll be leaving the resort 2x. Honestly I am a low spender and usually bring my own food to the airport (to cut costs) and mostly spend money on souvenirs for my loved ones when traveling. Whats an approximation of how much I should bring? Also, is tipping culture big in crete or do people usually not tip?
Just take 100-200 euro or so and get more at the atm if you need it. And yeah, tipping is a thing here, how much depends where you go and how the service was. And just FYI, usually the food outside the resorts is a lot better, especially the bakeries, and it's rather affordable, if you don't go to the most touristic place. So maybe get some breakfast or coffee outside the resort, just to get a taste.
