I’m doing more outdoor art markets and need a way to protect my artwork from possible rain. would circular shower rings and PVA shower curtains do the trick?
oh sorry i was totally unclear on my original post— i already own a canopy tent, just wondering if i could add shower rings and PVA curtains to it once i’ve set it up and if that would work. definitely not trying to DIY an entire tent lol
Depends on how the frame is structured. It could work. The gap at the top could help vent the wind as well.
I agree with other poster, making your own is a liability. Buy one.
Unfortunately, we're entering peak season. You may be able to find one during a memorial day sale but end of summer would have the best prices.
totally didn’t realize that i was super unclear in my original post— i already own a canopy tent but am wondering if i add curtain rings and plastic shower curtains to the sides if that would give me the same/similar protection as actual canopy side walls would. sorry about that!
Depending on the type of canopy tent, you may want to use straps in stead of curtain rings. If the fabric of the canopy tent strechtes over the frame where you want to put the curtain, you might damage the canopy tent in the long run.
yes that works good. Just use solid color or clear shower curtains, as patterned ones distract from the crafts or art you are selling.
I think springing for a tent/canopy is the best option honestly. If you jimmyrig smth and it breaks and falls on someone, you'll be in a lot of trouble and likely held liable. For peace of mind alone I'd just buy a canopy. You can find them used for not too expensive
