Recommended food in Torvehallerne, Broens, and Reffen

Torvehallerne: Lunch at Ma Poule, serving duck confit baguette sandwiches.

But honestly, just walk around and see what looks good.

Bring tones of money. Eating at food courts in Copenhagen is only slightly cheaper than just going to restaurants. It’s ridiculous

At Reffen there's a Mexican burrito place close to the entrance you can't miss, and a hidden gem there is Thrilla in Manilla - both crazy good foodstands! (Worthy mention is baobab, also close to the entrance, worlds best peanut curry and the owner is just supreme)

At Broens: Gasoline Grill and Poulette

Most of these places are pretty expensive and are mostly focused on selling international food that isnt danish. Yes there is smørrebrød at Torvehallerne. But if you find a local restaurant where they make stuff like smørrebrød, stregt flæsk med perillesovs etc then you have a better change of tasting orginal danish food.

In Torvehallerne you can get smørrebrød. It doesn't get much more Danish than that.

they’re not danish specialties but they’re damn good

If you'd like to try Danish dishes, I wouldn't look to any of these food market type places .. very touristy, and the whole appeal is "world cuisine" type food.

Try searching for smørrebrød in Google maps, visit a proper pølsevogn, or go to a bakery for some fresh pastries would be my recommendation 😊

At Torvehallerne, SMAG is really nice, I like their salads, where you choose 3-4 different salads and add toppings and hummus/mushy peas. They also have Hallernes, which is smørrebrød. At Broens, I love Gasoline Grill, Fuego, Pasta la Pasta, Strangas and Rørt.

Torvehallerne - La Boca for the empanadas + chimichurri

There is nothing hidden in these places that you should look for recommendations. Go and figure out.

Minimum servings in most of those places will still cost €50bucks pr person before you even get to drinks, just FYI. And yes that's for lunch.

Bring money and make sure the other 3 in the group knows what they are walking in to. It's gonna kill the vibe if one of you isn't down for paying $10 for a small soda or $6 for a glass of still water.

You're in luck tho, the weather will be turning summer mode for next week, so all of Copenhagen will be joining you in those locations and Copenhagen will look it's absolute best.
