And then the person you stole the spoon from starts fighting the guards because they're flagged as a "friend" in the system.
And then they die... So now, all the bonding you've done with that NPC is go- quickloads
Not in honor mode, my friend.
I'm going to be completely honest here, I have no idea what honor mode is nor from what game it's from.
Baldur's Gate 3 has an "Honor Mode" where you only get one save, can't reload while playing (auto save when quitting), and if your entire party dies, the game ends. Essentially, they have taken save scumming/reloading out of the options. Simultaneously, the enemies are harder (bosses have legendary actions), scaling is slower, and general difficulty is notched up.
If you do manage to win on Honor Mode, you get golden dice. So, totally worth it.
I’ve never wanted golden dice until now damnit
Took me 20 tries
In other words, you have a 1/20 chance of success?
A single d20 roll determines everything
Man, fuck that. Why would I want video games to mimic real life. I play to destress, not to get the high score on the blood pressure monitor
Fire Emblem Ironman Mode equivalent then
They had this in Divinity: Original Sin 1&2 as well, my partner and I completed it in both of those... after we'd already completed the games a few times 😅
There MUST be a mod to make it a bit more... Flexible
It's called "Task Manager".
So they renamed Ironman Mode. Which has been a staple of the genre since save states were developed.
An achievement that I actually want to achieve. Holy shit
*Alt + F4
Alt+F4 doesn't always work, but Task Manager does
Seriously, I used to save scam Hitman Elusive Targets, it's not that hard.
