Being a nosy neighbor. I was dropping someone at the mall Saturday, and saw multiple police vehicles and a firetruck near Level Up. Anyone know what was going on?
Thanks! 😁🥰
Kids were fighting apparently
I was there. It started with some kids, then parents got involved, then some people got maced and arrested. The cops needed to be there, but sending every one of them within 10 miles may have been over the top.
Bugs me that they do this everywhere. Then when you need one they’re busy.
Yeah a few weeks ago someone broke into a friends house while his wife was home with two young children, she called the police but they couldn't come because of a priority. Turned out they eventually got the guy and he was wanted for murder and arson in KC.
Last year animal control showed up on my porch because I had a rooster, I told the person I would get rid of it but that wasn't good enough, they wanted to see it, they wanted my ID. I told that a-hole to get off my property, he said he would call the police, I said the understaffed police? Anyway there was a cop at my house in 3 minutes, so I can see both sides, they might be understaffed but they are also mismanaged. I don't know the solution is to throw good money after bad.
Damn. 10 police cars, three of which were k9 units, and a whole ambulance just for some fighting kids??? Did they kill someone??
A friends kid works at level up.
The code the mall sent out to stores and called in to police was there was a weapon present
Columbia has ten times more cops than makes any logical sense, is more like it
They frequently run out of available officers to respond to calls so ai’m not sure you are correct.
Yet for the population, they're very understaffed. They don't have enough officers for 24x7 coverage of a city of 130,000.
Como police have been understaffed for the passed decade my dude

It appears that we have an individual who advocates for the idea that society would thrive in the absence of law enforcement.
This perspective is based on the belief that humans are inherently inclined to treat each other with kindness and refrain from engaging in criminal behavior.
It's way worse that that, you have an ultra liberal professor who supports lies misinformation, and still has daddy issues.
Thanks for the answer. I had Googled it and came up with a shooting and got scared...until I saw the news story was from 2020.
Check out Columbia MO scanner on FB if you’re ever curious. they usually are up to date on this sorta thing
Ooh I didn't know about that! Thanks for the tip!

Damn. Mortal Kombat was so much better.
I can’t argue with that 🤷🏻
It's hospital week at mizzou and they gave deals to employees so I'm assuming there were more people there than usual
Thanks for asking this question. I was wondering too. And … excellent use of hullabaloo😀
