Amos, the orange one, is blind and has only a few teeth, while Ari, the grey one, has poor eyesight and is also missing some teeth. Both had a rough start but doing so well now.
Nope, our orange friend missed the memo about being careful. Mine also hides in plain sight from my other cat, probably thinking everyone is blind.
My cat hides in plain sight too, she looks like this everytime and it’s hilarious
Not his turn with the brain cell? Lol.
Blind and orange? He really said challenge accepted. 😏
I feel like this is a great name for an evil villain
Mr Baggins - he’s blind
Is he also a barrel-rider?
Ringwinner? Luckwearer?
I keep browsing this thread, and every time I hit this photo it makes me actually laugh out loud. Very much a “lights on, no one’s home” look to his face and it’s killing me 😭😂
He’s perfect I love him
Spindle Sticks. She’s blind
She's so precious 🥹
such a cute name
We named her that because she is so very tiny. We adopted her from a kill shelter April 2023. She was very malnourished only weighing 3.2 pounds. Covered in feces when they took her out of the cage. We didn’t and they didn’t know she was blind. Once we got her home we could tell and it was confirmed with the vet. They said she was 9. She weighs in a 5 pounds now but is the size of a kitten. So since her little legs were so tiny we decided on the Spindle Sticks.
Love the origin stories of kitty names. Thank you for bringing home Ms. Sticks. ❤️
Butt-Butt broke his butt (a upper leg fracture, technically). After surgery to remove a tiny piece of bone, he has a permanent wobble in his walk because one leg is shorter than the other.
He’s doing great, though, and is the happiest cat I’ve ever had!!
He has CH. Looks like yours.
I love his face so much!
Omg I love his name 😂
I want to see your car's wobble
Aww sweet bubby, look at his little booty 😂
I'm so sorry.. She looks adorable and sounds like she had the best life with you 💚
Thank you so much! She was a super special girl, we were lucky to have found each other.
A fighter. These cats’ resilience makes me want to get out of bed despite my own concerns. Sorry for your loss.
I know! I never expected to be so inspired by a little 8 pound baby-faced cat.
Aww so sorry for you loss. She looks like the kindest soul and a fighter. Hugs.
So sorry for your loss, she’s definitely playing with all kitties in kitty heaven🥰
She must have met my kitty angel J’Zargo. He was only supposed to live a few days but lived to 12
RIP precious Roo!
Does he bring all the girls to the yard?
oh he definitely does. look at that bow tie
He could teach you but he’d have to charge
Omg the most kissable nose
I am very partial to his little pink nose…
oh my god i should have named my black cat gojira! pls give him a kiss on the forehead for me
This is Jackson. He lost an eye and has a partially amputated tail after two seperate dog attacks in his first home. He also has PTSD because there was a lot of abuse and starvation as well. He’s super happy and healthy now and is about to have his 5th birthday. I’m disabled and have PTSD myself so we’re a great match
Such a cutie! My boy Archie loved to sleep just like this guy ❤️
Aw this is my Archie. He is only 3 but is an old soul. The white soul patch doesn’t help. He always looks lost.
Damn... Dude's put a hell of a fight against life. And he won !
He’s precious!!
My previous cat, Zen. He was a tripod but also a climber.
I love how disable cats seem to not be aware that something isn't working... Blind cats not being careful and running around, tripod trying to use a non-existant paw, wobblies who go places with determination XDDD
Fizz was born with swimmer syndrome! It was difficult for her to learn to walk, and she needed a lot of help getting started when she was 2-4 weeks old. The biggest improvement came with her tape hobbled - just some medical tape to keep her feet from sliding out to the side. She was a week behind her littermates learning to walk (which doesn't sound like much, but kittens develop SO FAST and things don't really slow down for months, so she stayed behind for a while).
She's doing great for now (almost 2 years old), but we don't know if it could affect her joints more in the future.. Weirdest thing is she has better balance than any of her siblings, lol. She does seem to enjoy testing her balance, too.
Ooooo! I once fostered a little swimmer and also did the tape thing. And lots of towels on the floor for a better grip. Lil guy was also a ginger (with white feet) and is now living his best normal four legged life with a friend of mine.
Aw, Yay! I'm so glad. It was really scary, but I was so glad that I'd actually seen the kitten lady's video on swimmer syndrome just before they were born, so I knew immediately what was going on and what we needed to do. It made me sad to be starting physical therapy when she was just 3 weeks old, but it was a relief to know it could help. Nothing was so scary as seeing her literally left behind by her siblings as they all ran over to see me and she just sat there watching...
But now she's just the happiest girl! 🧡
Trini
Love that name! I wish I had a five-legged cat I could call Panca.
I wish I could post video but these two have cerebellar hypoplasia aka wobbly kitten syndrome. They are my foster kittens and are going in for their spay/neuter surgeries on Friday, which means they’ll be eligible for adoption starting Sunday!
They are both obsessed with this whack a mole toy, I think because it helps contain their wobbles. I grabbed a crinkly toy and they both popped their heads out like little gophers. 😆
CH cats are the best 🐱
My handsome man is deaf as a doorknob.
I found a kitten a few weeks ago and he’s completely deaf. Trying to figure out how to teach him “no”. It’s been a challenge! Still perfect in my eyes though!
Aww, look at that little angel! What is his name? We've also had some challenges trying to teach him things. The vet told me that you can supposedly teach cats hand signals to tell them things, but respectfully I think my cat is too dumb for those. We've had good luck with a squirt bottle though. He is a wild kitten that would climb all over everything, but we started giving him a quick squirt when he jumped up on places that he shouldn't have been and he's eventually stopped.
This also needs to go on r/FancyFeet
Not another one!!!!
So many subs… not enough hours in the day 😂
There is two types of deaf cats : the VERY vocals, and those who meow at 0dB XD
My cat is deaf and he has tiny baby whispers of a meow. Consequently, my ears are so sensitive to his little heartmelting meows now. I swear I can hear him talk from across the house...it makes me go look for him every time too; "OH NO!!! MY BABY NEEDS SOMETHING!! What's wrong?!?"
Nermal is like this! He has this weird off key whisper meow he'll make when comes into the bedroom. So cute and gentle. But his usual vocals are loud, voice breaking and gurgling. Loves to scream into corners and such for the vibes and echos.
Bb Clementine ❤️❤️
I’ve never seen an eyeless cat with hair growing over the eye sockets. Were her eyes removed or was she born that way? Edit: what I mean by growing over the eye socket; usually when cats are missing eyes, you can see like a scar where it was stitched closed or there’s just no hair, but with her it’s like perfect. So I’m just curious
When she was found by the humane society she had an infection in her tear ducts and they had to remove her eyes. I got her when she still had stitches. ❤️
Ohhh ok, well she’s very beautiful 😁💕
It's common with a double enucleation. My dog's were like this too❤️
I love how shes still looking right at the camera
Aww she is precious! Hope you have a long and happy life with her :)
Ms. Cher! She lost her front leg and a back toe
I guess this counts but my boy only has his front four(absurdly long at that) canine teeth and he’s such a happy baby:3
He iv a fampire (hehe joke)
This is my grandmother’s cat that has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (Wobbly Cat Syndrome)
I love CH kitties. Fostered 3 and they were so wonderfully cuddly and fun
My "little" bean, 3 and a half legs but it doesn't slow her down
My nana also had a kitty with a leg like that! She lived quite a while, wasn't very friendly with us, but damn she could still climb! She used her bent leg plenty.
FIV since he didn’t wear a rubber in his stray days, also ptsd when near dogs
Didn’t wear a rubber in his stray days 😂💀
Watch out those kitten support payments don't catch up with you, buddy!
This is little Nyx. She doesn't have eyes and is the smartest, happiest cat I know
Oh, my God. She's actually a pure void
Except when she sticks her little tongue out and that's the cutest thing you've ever seen.
She has a missing tail, which is basically like a speech impairment in the cat world. I adopted her like that.
This is Kamakes. She has 3 nostrils, no eyes, and a cleft lip ❤️
This is Alana with her best friend Lola. Alana is also blind!
My Indy Boy
Our little baby is deaf.
This is nugget. He is a wobbly boi (not fully confirmed but he went from normal to having difficulty standing and walking and maintaining balance) and had a botfly removed when he was only a month old. He is getting stronger by the day though!
- Edited with a new photo since reddit decided it wanted to actually upload the first one.
Oh a golden nugget. So precious.
This is pigeon! She lost her eye to an injury before we got her but she’s doing awesome, and is boss cat of the house!
Waffle! One eye with almost no vision in it. My best friend.
This is Max. Born with a nasal cleft, CH, seizures and limited vision. 6 years old and going strong.
Cuteness 10/10 Legs 3/4
This POV is amazing. 10/10 indeed.
He had herpes so he had patches(?) on his right eye. I think the outer edge of the eye can't see properly
Our sweet Isaac! 🥰
This little girl wandered into our garden in the summer of 2020. Both of her eyes were fused shut due to an infection and she was super skinny. We took her to the vet and they cleaned her eyes and fed her. Sadly, the infection ate through the cornea of one of her eyes - the vet stitched her eye shut in an attempt to preserve it but it burst a few days later and had to be removed. She has scarring on her remaining eye but, she gets by. I’m glad I was able to save her 🧡
We don’t consider this a disabilty. We consider it a speci-ability. 💕💕💕
My Tripod.
My best buddy Nox who lost an eye to FIP (and some fur patches). Worth every penny.
My cat Willa sits like this too but when I found her at 5 weeks old her leg was broken badly and her tail was bent and had nerve damage. But Willa pulled through and runs and jumps like nothing was ever wrong with her
Not my cat but Oliver (paraplegic) is ready to find his forever home ! From Kitty bungalow in Los Angeles
He’s very sweet . Took this pic today while cleaning his enclosure . Seems to get along well w other cats :)
Texas Toast, she had a spinal injury as a kitten and relearned how to walk. She’s still kinda unsure on her legs though but she loves pets.
This is Roger! He had one eye removed and the other one has eyelid agenesis.
This is my Pirate kitty, Mouse!
He had an enucleation done two years ago from an awful experience with a dog who can no longer be around animals since the incident. He's happy and healthy now, as well as spoiled to the nines 💕
This is Eloise, my asthmatic, hypoglycemic, nervous wreck .
My half-blind baby
This is Nacho Kitty. He is 20 lbs and has a leg that doesn't work due to a neurological issue. He can climb, kill, and control the 140 lb Akita at home. Sweetest kitty in the world
Edit: he also has cat aids
Gabriel is blind.
This is Missy. Adopted her after her former family couldn't afford to take her to the vet. She'd been hit by a car, or that's what the vet assumed. Had a back leg amputated, and broken shoulder blade.
This is Bits, the one eyed rascal. She had an infection and we had to have her eye removed when she was a kitten.
The vet told us that if we no longer wanted her, she would adopt her from us. I don’t know who would give up such a cutie, love her so much ❤️
Everyone’s cats are so freaking beautiful and adorable. I love them all 😭🩵
Here’s my blind, 16 year old baby, Kurt. He started losing his eyesight when he was around 5. He’s also missing a large portion of his teeth so he can’t chew his food, but he’s still good at biting me with the teeth that remain. Recently his hearing has started getting weaker too.
My girl Tigress ain’t got no tail. I found her in the middle of a frontage road and she had a degloving incident on her tail. One surgery later and she’s fine now! I think she’s not right in the head, though. I think she has PTSD or something. It might just be because she’s an Orange.
My sweet Bo, lost his eye as a baby due to respiratory illness
Winston only has one back leg. He doesn’t let that hold him back!
Bella is blind in one eye
Sweet Wren had her eye enucleated when she was tiny. It doesn’t stop her from terrorizing Trinket
My blind girl Pluto
My one eyed baby, Ash. Vet says they believe he was born without it. Doesn't seem to slow him down at all though! Absolutely adore this cat!
Our darling Bholu baby, oranj monstoo and MACHO MAN . Was brutally attacked by dogs when we found him and had to have a leg amputated. Also has impaired eyesight due to feline herpes. And a wonky digestion. Because of all this we never released him back even after his amputation.
Better picture of him.
This is my boy Legend, who had been hit by a car as a kitten and even despite surgery his back right paw didn't heal right so now it's practically a little nub. He does not let it stop him in the slightest he still zooms around and jumps and chases mice with no problem.
I did talk to the vets about the best course for his back leg before and they always said if he's getting around with no issue or pain then there no need to amputate it unless it becomes a problem.
He'll be 9 years old next month! 💚
I also have a handsome one eyed orange boi. My cat’s name is Maceo.
Jetsam has one back leg missing and one deformed.
My girl with a traumatic brain injury. She doesn’t understand how to play with the other cats. Sometimes she plays others she thinks her life depends on her to run. She was found in the engine of a semi truck.
This is Lucky 🍀 I rescued him at less than a day old and bottle raised him when I was 15, he was my first rescue. His mother was a stray and after she had her kittens, another male cat unfortunately came by. Lucky was the only to survive, although his front right leg was broken at the elbow, something that couldn’t be corrected at the time. On top of this, he was the runt of the litter and was abnormally tiny, about the size of a small hamster, he was so weak. I was told by just about everyone I knew that he would not survive. But I’m a particularly stubborn and determined person lol. He made it, and he was probably the greatest cat I’ve ever known. That was ten years ago. Rip buddy, thank you for opening the door for me to continue rescuing the little guys like you ❤️
This is Al, he is blind even though it seems like he is looking at me in this pic lol
Dadi, handicat extraordinaire. We got him from the sheltered, two of his vertebrae were damaged when he was young. So his bal legs are quite weak but his front legs are super muscular to compensate. He'll climb anything, jump like a mad cat from heights (we had to dismantle a cat stand because of that. He also runs and fights and is overall adorable.
Do chronic illnesses count? My kitty has inflammatory bowel disease 🥺❤️
He has no tail or teeth, but he is still a hungry, jumpy menace
This is Corbin. He’s also mostly blind but still fully a monster 🥰
Does a cat with kitten-syndrome count? Our cat thinks my wife is her mom and still sucks on every blanket he can find as if it was his mom's nipple.
He never had a mom, she was sick when giving birth. My wife raised the kittens from day one with the bottle. And on some cats, that leaves a permanent effect. But if you'd see him, not a chance in the world you'd expect that! Yes, he's chubby. Yes, that's his own fault. Yes, he's getting less to eat now, but he steals his brother's food.
Asthma and a little trouble with the brain. Sometimes the light is on but no one is home.
Our baby girl somehow punctured her eye and had to have it removed. This was her opinion.
This is pumpkin! He had a severe infection in his front paws that ate at the bone. He was an outdoor semi-feral cat. Now he will live inside for the rest of his life as he can no longer defend himself.
I used to have this beautiful blind cat called Yami. I know most of you wont find her that pretty. But to me, she was the most gorgeus, sweetest, cuddly, funny cat i ever had (and I have ten),she is so special. Mom found her wandering in the streets, almost getting run over by cars, and took her home. She also was FIV positive. Unfortunately she passed away after just one year we had her. It hurted so much. Still hurts to this day. She used to always climb up on my bed to cuddle with me and making biscuits. Always wanted to play with me and loved to be around us and slept in that one spot that she loved. Now we still keep flowers in that spot for her. I will love you forever stinky 😭
I was mowing this old lady's lawn I saw this little guy he managed to stay alive for a few days he slept with me I kept it warm I woke up one day and he was dead I feel bad for him he was maybe like a week old rest in peace and we already have a cat that's a mom so we assume that would take it in it did but it referred the slept with me
Here's Butters. He's deaf and can meow like a Banshee.
Not mine, but these two are currently with the same foster organization I adopted my girl from.
My little girl, not visible, but she has epilepsy. After her first two attacks she could barely walk, after that months for her being able to jump and play again. Now she is on the right meds and again the jolly little kitty she always was
This is my own little pirate cat.
My little blind girl, she can’t hear good either. Her twin sibling helps look after her by grooming her and cuddling with her. I love them. Her name is Jasmine, her sister’s name is Jasper. I call them JJ and they both come.
This is Katara! She’s not blind, but she’s visually impaired. She also has a lot of issues regulating her emotions and energy levels, so she gets overstimulated a lot (and is on medication that helps!!)
my girl tuna! cyclops, half-blind in the one eye. found her in a parking lot when doing doordash 3 years ago
Polly, 2. She has moderate Cerebeller Hypoplasia (wobbly cat syndrome 💗
Such a cute and adorable little kitty
Clementine
She's dumb as hell. That counts as a disability, right?
My little tripod
This is Thumper. She was born with her front legs fused in an L shape. Her claws don’t work so I have make sure I keep them clipped for her so they don’t get hung up on anything. She doesn’t know she’s any different and she can jump and run just like a normal cat.
This is Mac, he is diabetic! He is a BEXACAT success story, the first pill to manage feline diabetes! He has been on it over a year now, has perfect levels and a happy guy. He does have to take one pill a day and is on glycol balance prescribed food. We also use a glucose monitor (same as a human) to check his levels.
His first symptom was on set neuropathy, that caused him to walk a placated stance. He also was drinking a lot of water (something he’s kinda always done but the other symptoms raised the alert!). Thankfully, after a couple months of medication and an added supplement for feline neuropathy… he gained full use of his legs again and can jump/walk perfectly.
Scarlett got tossed out of car we think. Her right front paw stays permanently bent from nerve damage. She scoots on her wrist
Arlo has volunteered! He developed an abscess on his paw from his mother biting him and rejecting him at only 2 weeks old. Amputated at 3 weeks, his eyes were barely even open. But now he just turned 2 and he’s doing very well, just a few behavioral issues from growing up with no mom or siblings. He likes his Prozac though.
My (mostly) deaf girl. She also has arthritis, almost no teeth, and a couple seizures, but she's a trooper.
This is Penny. She has asthma. 👃

This is Tumble weed he is mostly blind but that doesn’t stop the orange crackhead from getting into trouble
