My Burmas haven’t arrived yet, but I‘m very looking forward to the day they are here. So I was wondering if anyone here had some memories to share, recommendations to give, tips and so on.

My oldest boy, Donie (almost 19) was adopted at 3. Since my husband and I had to work in the daytime and we had another resident cat, we set him up in the spare bathroom for the first few days as he acclimated. Of course, we'd eagerly let him out the minute we'd get home from work. When we came home from work on his fourth day with us, we found the bathroom wide open and our new burmese casually walking around the apartment. It turns out he knew how to open doors! From then on, his new nickname was "Houdonie"
Hoo Geez…. I can imagine your faces 0.0 a great nickname for him. And did he and your other cat get well along from then on?
Nah, my other cat was a possessive Tonkinese, and he was super jealous of him, unfortunately. We got our tonk a little brother a few months later, and they became best friends, so it took the focus off of Donie 😅
