Hey man, you have to work on actually "feeling" confident on the ball, even if your skill level isnt there yet and your movements feel awkward.
I only started playing 2 years ago with the same problem and things really only started clicking for me about 3 months ago.
I had a breakthrough in my confidence by starting to ACTIVELY make my self available as an option and actually asking for me ball ( despite feeling nervous)
Once you start asking for the ball, end up recieving it and then make a clean play, you're going to feel a dose of confidence and your brain will internalize this.
If you only play PASSIVELY, then you are not internalizing the idea of having control which is a mandatory prerequisite for feeling confidence.
If you learn to scan really well, it will help you greatly by allowing you ask for the ball more.
If you need help with easily improving scanning, i made post about it you can find it on my profile.
Hope that helps
Thank you so much man! This is super helpful. In order to get more confident I have to advocate for myself and accept that I’m going to be uncomfortable but still ask for the ball
