Was working on my civic today and the caliper bracket needed a torch. Took it to the shop and they handed me a VERY hot bracket and some rags. Tied it to the airhead and off we went to work. A good day.
2015 Honda civic caliper bracket tied to a 1988 R100GS luggage rack with shop rags because the bracket was too hot for my tank bag and the beemer was the only vehicle I had that worked. Because of the caliper bracket.
What you are looking at is an adventure!
I thought that was a R100GS tail end. I have a '93 GSPD in red and white, her name is Gunda.
I'm looking at one of those for sale locally and I reallllly want it
I have a silver 84 R80ST with the G/S solo seat/rack it’s named the Sizzler.
Sizzler! I like that.
I love mine, the ignition is still crap, though. And if you do get it, never put more than four gallons of gas unless you absolutely need the range.
I run Dunlop K70's and they're great on and off road. You can really hook up traction in gravel and rooster tail your buddies on new KTMs.
Mine came with Mikunis, a custom Ohlins rear shock, and Showa fork springs/valves. The first owner is a mechanical engineer and was the chief of R&D at Harley prior to retirement. He bought it new and put 37k miles on the beast before selling to me last year.
that's awesome. I noticed lots of BMW owners, especially airheads, are engineers and the like.
