I think in many ways, Bryan Johnson is wrong.

Bryan Johnson thinks that by maintaining the VO2 performance of an elite 18 year old, his lungs will not age or at least, age only 7 months to the year.

Bryan Johnson thinks that by doing more IPL lasers than anyone else in his city combined, his skin will in the very least, age only 7 months to the year.

And so on.

He’s really depending on the ability of the body to heal itself and become stronger. And the body does that. He will, in all honesty, probably look less and less like his age over time (if only he would stop making himself look uncanny with weird cosmetic procedures and shit). Until one day, the cells in his body decide that they’ve been asked to repair the body too many times. At that point people will post on the future version of Reddit, “What happened to Bryan Johnson?”

My old judo coach had that fate. At 76 he was still throwing around 26 year old black belts. A few years later he was falling off the bed.
