Hope you're doing better now, brother
Thanks, some days better than others. You've got some excellent art- surreal and lonely and dystopian. Gets me right in the feels. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, this really means a lot to me!
Good luck to you too!
Hope everything it’s okay bro, I’ve been there too, if you need to chat, have a talk, send memes or anything, just send a dm!
Appreciate it! Creation is the antidote to misery, so I think the best is to take this inspiration and make something from it. Y'all good people out on these interwebs make me smile
Sure, art it’s some kind of medicine for me, and it’s been helping me with depression and all of that stuff! And yes, Reddit has some very nice people that cares about other people, so if want to have a talk, drop me a dm, maybe we can work on something together, some small render or idk haha hope you will get better soon my friend!
you gotta find the beauty in "no signal test card".
Love the shader!!
Thank you! Spent more time on it than I should have lol, nodes are still a weak point for me
It shows…recommend any good tutorials for that?
I assume you mean the time spent shows…
For procedural nodes in general? Or for cell shading?
I'll admit, I mostly fucked around with what I knew already x)
That’s the best way to learn hahaha
Cell shading, por favor
Here are the two that helped me the most, good luck!
These shaders r pretty cool.
Gives it a whole 'Noir' Vibe........
How do you do that noise effect?
Emissive BSDF connected to a 4d Noise texture + B&W ramp
Then driver on W (#frame*2)
Then it's all just tweaking
Can you explain the second line about the driver
You write "#frame*2" in the W position of the Noise node!
Thank you! What exactly does this do?
It automatically animates the texture following the frames in your timeline, so you don't have to key it
So like, every frame it adds 2 to the initial value (because of the "*2" part)
So cool thank you!!
You're welcome! It's pretty useful to animate water and other cool stuff
Dope🔥
Sensational. Hits hard.
That loop is smooth as fuck
Weirdly, this is calming ❤️ The visuals are really great.
Thank you! <3
Cool style. Love this
This is beautiful
Your work is crazy man I love the style
The best compliment you could give an artist, thanks :)
Hey this is fucking DOPE! It gave me ideas to draw
Thanks! Glad to help, keep it up! :)
The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel
Just don’t open any suspicious business cards.
Trust me.
The maître d’ stops by to say hello to McDermott, then notices we don’t have our complimentary Bellinis, and runs off before any of us can stop him. I’m not sure how McDermott knows Alain so well—maybe Cecelia?—and it slightly pisses me off but I decide to even up the score a little bit by showing everyone my new business card. I pull it out of my gazelleskin wallet (Barney’s, $850) and slap it on the table, waiting for reactions.

heavy. can relate.
Me too brother, I wish you well and hope you're doing ok ✊💪
Just know that your worth as a person is greater than any amount of gold, keep it up! ✊
Ta buenardo 👍
Outstanding work
Thanks a lot!
When your foot falls asleep
This is really depressive, penguin.
😏😏
Pretty much what the last couple of years feels like, powerful piece, love it!
Have you tried using a denoiser?
Joking aside, this is a beautiful piece, well done
I laughed, thank you!
Fire nothing but W's
Wow. Muy buen trabajo. Ojalá termine en un juego o una serie.
Flashbacks to A Scanner Darkly
Totally. Love it
How did you do this?😍
Depression + tutorials + too much insomnia 😂
I love the hatching effect in the shadows, it really makes this whole scene. Very cool OP.
Thank you! !
Op do you sell your art? Is there anywhere where we could see more?
the idea is great
Black mirror vibes for sure
This is just about how all media feels to me these days.
Amazing!
U use the denoise for reduce the noise?
For getting the 2d look, you used camera instead of UV? I'm curious.
Yes, camera view vectored into mapping and using ShaderToRGB node as a mask!
Really makes me feel uncomfortable, great work nonetheless!
Was the glitching of the shadows, part of the aesthetic?
Glitching?
In the shadows near the table.
Me but with my pc
Perfect depiction of total system neuropathy
Now this is art
Fantastic job! The animation, the style, the concept, everything!
Very nice
Best art I’ve seen on Blender all year. Original. Composed and strikingly grounded while invoking, or even provoking, emotions. Perfectly looped. Seriously…exquisitely well done!
Thank you so much!
Really like the lighting on this shader! Very stylistic without sacrificing much clarity or sense of depth.
It's all in the composition my dude, those rules are universal ;)
This feels like when I put headphones in and just sit there empty.
Dogma after a tough fight.
Still there 😔
hits home way too much... great work
It’s always red… the static in my head
The video has too much noise
Big mood
My legs after taking a long crap
this perfectly encapsulates how i feel sometimes
Could have asked, bro (at least)
I'm sorry, I just REALLY liked the post, wasn't gonna use it anywhere just wanted to have it in my gallery. Is it ok?
Lol it's ok don't worry!
I don't think this bot is allowed on this sub though, but you have a link for a gif in the comments!
Thanks btw <3
This is….interesting
pov: pins and needles
Love this! Reminds me of Killer7.
This is what deleting the default cube and trying to get a good night sleep looks like.
This is so cool!
What shader did you use?
Mine! A mix of very basic cell techniques and cameraToView superposition for the textures
What shader did you use?
10/10
Looove this. Sorry to pile on to all the questions you're getting, but I'm wondering how you did the sketchy lines that occupy the dark spaces? The ones that change only every couple frames.
This is a truly evocative work, and I have to admit I feel dirty fixating on nodes and reducing this to a sum of technical details, more than I usually do on this subreddit.
Explaining nodes is heavy work, but thank you A LOT for the feedback!!!!
It's all actually very simple! When you use ShaderToRGB node you can use the B&W values (with a colour Ramp) as a mask! Combine this (mixRGB node) with the Camera node (VIEW vectored into MAPPING) and an image sequence and then just go to town and fuck around for three days straight (LITERALLY MY TECHNIQUE 😂)
Wooow, you’ve inspired me to dive into using camera perspective data in nodes. Thank you for writing this out!
Feel free to DM me if you need any help!
And good luck to you!
This is the visual equivalent of what my body felt like after hemodialysis.
Really cool style
ooh i love this
Yup. Feelin’ it.
so how can i learn to make this? amazing.
dat style on FIRE
looks like my ears sound
Beeeeeen there. Great work
McDonald's Sprite
You forgot the audio 😖
This actually looks really cool
Well done.
Might get some love from r/voidpunk as well. This is really good stuff.
This is so fucking good.
This reminds me of a song called Longview from Green Day: "I sit around and watch the tube but nothing's on. I change the channels for an hour or two". It's a great job, mate. Congrats.
Very cool! And relatable.
I think it needs actual noise though. It appears there is an audio track, but I didn't hear anything. Adding white noise would really be cool.
This has got depth. I am almost thinking you could continue it to a point of animatronic sequel thingy. Anybody got idea for a dope soundtrack?
Great animation
This really says a lot about the thermodynamics of a 4 dimensional object
i wish i could make this my screensaver
This is really good. I wonder how you would approach it if the theme was like pure silence or peaceful tranquility or something. Sick work though I love it
static man…Archive81?
👀
That's....... Depressing
Put this up on r/imaginarysliceoflife, they'll love it
Brilliant. Good work. Want more.
damn, this is really evocative. great work op
This is what I picture when I have pins and needles! ( when your limb gpes to sleep and its all tingly)
Impressive art though
Totally dope! Great work my dude!
I feel like that, but only when my foot is asleep or I pulled a muscle in bed or hit my foot.
Bit too poignant you son of a bastardo
reminds me of that one episode of black mirror, oh it’s called white christmas
Oh shit, this would be a great style for a horror game. Love the fuzz
This is really intriguing. Sad, this tells a story
He looks like how my foot feels when I move it when it's asleep
Been there
