23F and I got my IUD 2 months ago. My acne has been awful to say the least. I did Accutane 5 years ago to help with my acne and have been relatively clear. Getting this IUD has flared my acne like I’m in high school again. I swear there is a new white head every day and not to mention the painful cystic acne. I haven’t ever had back acne and now I do??? Will this calm down when my body adjusts to the IUD? I hate this but I love my IUD and the peace of mind it gives me. My dermatologist is prescribing me Spironolactone. Hoping it helps!!! I’ve read good things. Any success stories?

It’s called tactu pump forte. It’s been working so well. It takes a bit to get used to and my skin was incredibly sensitive and dry during the first few weeks but now it’s perfect

Hi! I have been on 100mg of spironolactone with my Moderna IUD. It has 100000% helped! The biggest time I get acne is when I am PMSing, but other then that awful time of the month, I’m pretty clear!
I love spironolactone personally.
I have pcos and my acne cleared up almost completely. Really a miracle for me.

It’s been great for me! I started hormonal bc after Spiro though and personally found both to be tooooo much, so went to nonhormonal bc
My acne just got worse and worse over time with Skyla. I had it removed for way worse symptoms though. If acne had been my only side effect I may have kept it but my side effects legit ruined my life they were so bad. The acne did start to go away after I had it removed but now it still flares up around my period
I have the IUD and am on Spiro. I use to get a cystic pimple here or there. All of a sudden my hormonal acne got out of control. No topical treatment helped. (Makes sense!) My derm a prescription spiro and it changed my life!! I get no hormonal acne anymore. I was very surprised how many females are on it too.
I had horrible cystic acne about two months after I got my iud put in. I didn’t have spiromolactone but had something else prescribed (sorry I can’t remember right now) It took a few months but it did clear up!! It took another 6 weeks or so to calm down.
