LISTENING TO MUSIC AND ACTING AS IF IM IN A ROMCOM! MAIN CHARACTER SYNDROME IS SOOOO REAL basta ure in the right place ofc, but making yourself the center of your life and loving yourself enough to not care about other people can really nurture your femininity 💗🌸
kumilos nang marahan like pabebe ginagawa ko 'to kapag nasa bahay ako ng jowa ko hindi ako magaslaw or maangas gumalaw minsan kasi may pitik ako nang pagka shibuli eh haha. and to feel more girly, i wear dress, skirt, and do make up ofc.
Late reply. One of the things that I feel makes me more in touch with femininity is my growing hair. I've been growing it long since I stopped going to the salon to touch-up my pixie hair back in 2022.
I'm now managing my hair, and making sure hair fall is minimal. I once grew my hair down to my waist before the pandemic and then went to cut it.
But decided to get it long again and this time a bit more knowledge about hair care. My longer hair does frame my face better.
Mani/pedi, hand creams, body mists, beauty procedures (lashes and brow lamination), serums, face masks, and in general skin and body care!
Other things outside if the beauty category are: skirts, once a month facials, dates with your friends, romance novels (even the spicy ones), crying, journaling 🤍
Blow drying my hair and sometimes curling it to give more volume and texture. Mas maganda umawra kapag malinis tignan at shiny ang hair. Tsaka wag mahiya if you feel over dressed, it’s better than being under dressed (unless pupunta ka sa isang event na dapat may bida like wedding or birthdays haha).
Daily self care - sa simpleng pagligo ko, I make sure to be gentle yet still.exfoliating my body. I use fragrant products that make me good and smell good. Using electric toothbrush for a thourogh clean. Skin cRe and sunscreen is a must. Moisturizing lotion. Wearing perfume.
Weekly self care - using face and hair masks, waxing (if may tumubo na), painting my nails
Exercise - i do strenght training and running/walking
Listening to my favorite songs
Dressing up in work
Jewelries hehehe
Taking my time eating, drinking my fave coffee, watching my fave shows
Also, I do chores l, it make me feel good and girly if I'm not surrounded by clutter
Besides sa usual na nasabi na sa comments dito, I try my best wag mag madali. Just taking my time to enjoy the things I like. Slow walks, slow mornings, slow showers, slow routines!!
pink clothes, lacey undergarments, putting on accessories kahit mag-grocery ka lang 😭, lip balm always so parang laging juicy lips mo hihi, and ofc foot spa and manipedi
• perfume! i buy high-end perfumes and girl, it lasts the whole day!
• styling my hair everytime i leave the house. non-negotiable na to for me. i used to go out with wet hair and ang pangit pala niya. + maiwan ko na lahat wag lang comb ko.
• pedicureeeee! my bf once told me "maglinis ka naman ng paa mo" bc ang crusty pala tignan kapag hindi ka nakapag pedi! hahaha kaloka
• i always bring disposable nail pusher with me! specially if pudpud yung nails ko, madali magtanggal ng dumi.
• pearl earrings! i dont know pero, life changing siya for me. iba yung glow ko whenever i wear it! kapag nakakalimutan ko, namimili talaga ako ng mumurahin hahaha
• branded bags! i only have 2 bags in rotation both branded. and girl, matibay talaga. and iba yung confidence that it gives you knowing you’re wearing a branded one.
• NAILS!! whenever may date ako or lunch with friends... i use press on nails! easy to use, easy to remove, and reusable! girl, dont buy on orange app. buy on ig sellers cause super worth it! here are my go-to’s : nailsby.nica, gelsnailsph, clawsdotcom (tho parang hindi na nagaaccept (?) and nailsbychloe. heaven sent! hassle-free rin 🫣 nails under 5mins 💅🏼
✅ make up! - hindi nawawala yung blush on and lippies ofc ♡
✅ presentable clothes - when it comes to clothing i always make sure that it accentuate my features, and kapag lalabas kahit mag rurun lang ng errands i always make sure na i look presentable. i used to be contented with shirt, short / pants and converse or sometimes slippers before pero ngayon kahit mag grgrocery lang dapat presentable hihi
✅ skincare & haircare routine
✅ painting my nails ( I HATE PAINTING MY NAILS BEFORE KASI I FEEL LIKE ANG SUPER GIRLY NILA TIGNAN PERO NGAYON I LIKE SEEING MY NAILS PRETTY HAHAAHAHSHA LALO NA PAG BAGONG NAIL POLISH ORAS ORAS TINITIGNAN KO NAILS KO
Skincare, make-up, looking sa orange app or other apps for cute clothes nag aayos ako ng hair bago ako umalis ng bahay, and tbh skirts and heels super cute nila
I don't know if this will resonate with some almost 30 🌟 girlies here but I keep a planner with all the girly, fancy stickers. Motivates me to plan and organize, and the aesthetic is so cute.
Second are the craftsy stuff like journaling, cooking for myself, checking out cozy cafes, among others.
i would say i’m more mindful of my physical appearance now whenever i’m out. skincare, make-up, nails, exercise, better wardrobe, and the likes! i used to be a t-shirt kind of gal but slowly transitioning now to more girly outfits.
Thiss! Ever since I started to nourish my feminine side, I noticed that people are kinder to me and complimenting me. Princess treatment is also reallll!
Makeup hehe. Especially after I’ve curled my lashes and put mascara on.
Wearing clothes that accentuate my best features when I want people to look at me lol/need a pick me up. Usually the clothes i 100% get complimented on.
Drying my hair to be perfectly fluffy.
Looking at myself in a mirror and admiring how pretty I am HAHAHA.
Shu Uemura ftw, still using the one my mom got me years ago. Right now, I like the thinness of the Heroine Make Micro Mascara Advanced Film. I’m concerned though that I notice one or two eyelash hairs falling off every now and then. Not sure if it’s because of the mascara or because I only use a Banila balm cleanser on it.
As a gurlie na nagtitipid, here are some of the things I do and purchase:
•soft gel nail extensions w/charms para cute(long/almond shaped) - this lasts so long, up to a month!
•diy eyelash extensions - the Mlen Diary ones, super nice ng glue nowadays, can last up to a week. Then u can choose another lash style naman the next time if sawa ka na.
•IPL at home
•hair styling even if nasa house lang
•pilates/yoga at home - try Move With Nicole on yt
•really good body oil and body lotions - if u wanna be cute, u wanna be moisturized all the way to ur feet
•electric callus remover for the feet if on a budget or tinatamad magpa foot spa.
•i also have colored hair, so I get my roots done every 2 months para di dugyot looking.
•shaving/waxing my facial hair or bigote hehe
•skin care - tried the toner pads from Medi Heal, I swear super nice sa feeling. Just stick to your face at night while watching kdrama. So nice for relaxing
Hi! Idk if you're in the same area as me, pero I get my nails done at Nail Harbor in Molino, Bacoor. My softgel extensions lasts up to a month or maybe more, ako na lang nagsasawa. I also clean the house everyday and still matibay padin. ☺️
Where do you get your nails done? I’ve been trying to find a good salon that offers soft gel manicure pero cant find a place na may relatively good review.
Heyy, not sure if we're in the same area but I get my nails done at Nail Harbor in Molino, Bacoor. ☺️ i super reco their softgel extensions, it literally lasts for a month sakin.
Pamper time. I take my time. I dress up. I do my makeup. I watch lifestyle vlogs from my favorite girl youtubers. I take care of my skin, hair, nails. I go to salons, aesthetic clinics.
Skin care, makeup, tapos ngayon natuto na rin maghair care ng slight. A dab of perfume sa wrist at neck tuwing aalis ng bahay (=which is pag pupunta lang sa work haha).
Now im entering 30’s, I started to put on make up pag lalabas. Fill-in brows, light blush (mascara if I feel too extra) very basic pero may boost talaga sa confidence haha
I try to put on foundation rin or BB cream but my acne prone skin just don’t like them. I’m not too concious of my acne marks naman so keribels.
Jamila Aesthetics along Marcos Highway. They also have a branch in Mandaluyong. They are a lot cheaper than those well-known clinics. They use the same machine, you’re just paying for the name lang dun sa iba kaya mas expensive. Hahaha, daming alam. 😂 Lol. But promise, super effective for me.
Hehe. Um, mas effective kasi for me ang once a month kasi wala akong any form of regular exercise (dahil ang init masyado, nakakatamad mag walking or mag gym lol) and mahilig akong chumicha. 😂 so para sa mga tamad tulad ko, yun lang ang solusyon. Hahaha joke.
Pamper Sundays when you do the following:
- Shower luxuriously
- Do your nails
- Drink tea while reading a book
- Wax and shave
- Clean your closet
- Nourish your hair
- Have a facial
- Do different appointments (Laser, brows, massage etc)
wearing above knee-length skirts but not super short kasi di commuter-friendly and im not comfy. also being soft/a bit mahinhin in public to get special treatment.
Skincare. I’d like to think that each day, the best consistent way for me to show kindness to myself is by completing my skincare regimen, even if my thoughts do all the raging and relapses.
Nails ✨ especially as someone on their keyboard all the time. I just love how it looks so pretty while being productive or toxic depending on the situation hahah 💅
Wearing skirts, dresses, heels. I used to wear oversized tshirt + pants + converse lang back in college and netong nagstart ako magwork saka ako nagchange ng wardrobe. Narealize ko mas madali magmix and match if dresses ang suot kasi shoes na lang problema haha.
Curling my hair, taking care of my skin, learning makeup at kung ano-ano pang self-care. And instead of backpack, shoulder bag na gamit ko for work. I don't have/wear any jewelries rn pero eto yung plan ko next.
Letting my bf do things for me. Grew up independent kaya kahit mahirap, slowly binabawasan ko na yung "wag, ako na". As simple as tying my shoe laces pag natanggal while we're walking, letting him carry my bag and buy me things, asking him to open stuff for me like jars, bottles, etc.
ETA: Being hair free. Ang fresh sa feeling. LHR is life changing.
I love love love doing my everyday skincare. Tsaka every night kapag maga-apply ako ng toner pads, super therapeutic.
Tas before I go out mas gumagaan ang mood ko when I apply makeup (even the simpliest natural makeup routine), ang gaan sa feeling. One less thing to worry about kasi hindi ka mukhang haggard or stress whenever I go out.
I'm a cheapass and I feel like a cutie-girlie whenever I do my own nails kahit di tlaaga sya aesthetic tignan HAHAHA, and whenever I wear a cute dress din at home.
experimenting with makeup! using the more unique shades for blush and highlight, creating more dramatic eye looks, using up bolder lip colors and trying out extra steps like falsies.
A full day of self-care! Facials, lashes, nails, spa etc - I try to arrange a treat-myself-day before my birthday and it's the girliest girly feeling ever!!! I love it, much-recommended!
Makeup + fragrance. Also I tend to go for shorter hairstyles because it makes me a bit more youthful, which can evoke femininity a lot of times. Easy to maintain too :)
When I do my skincare at night. I see that time for myself not as a chore but a ritual and it made it enjoyable for me. Kasi mga mhie kailangan maintain (or age gracefully) 😊
moving the spoon/fork towards me > instead of me leaning to eat food off it pag sumusubo, chewing slowly.
twirling my hair and playing with my nails, moving slowly in general and putting my hair to the side lol and letting men do things for me kahit na i know i can (and i usually) do it on my own e.g. pabuhat mabigat na grocery bag, tulak ng cart, bukas pinto, kuya angkas na magkakabit ng helmet
Medyo confused ako kasi most of the replies here are about buying or consuming a product or service... you don't need to affirm your femininity by paying for it... when I put on blush or lip gloss or whatever it's not because I want to be girly it's because I like color.
well baka make it (beauty) less capitalist consuming? also one instance of voicing out an opinion on how something can be better doesnt make it a "dismissive" behavior agad
I'm not saying that the women participating in it are wrong or evil. I am just calling attention to the fact that the majority of the replies are about consumerism. It takes a lot of time and effort to do these things that aren't technically necessary - things that men don't usually feel the pressure to do. Men don't feel the need to spend money on goods and services to affirm their masculinity (maybe aside from going to the gym maybe, but that's more related to health), so I thought it was relevant. Time, effort, and money are all important resources, and women are the main targets of the beauty industry (mainly led by men). There is a feminist movement in South Korea called Escape the Corset, which aims to combat strict beauty standards placed on women. I am not hating, observation and opinion lang po ✌️
Yeah but the way you say it gives an impression that you do. We live in a world where nothing is free. We buy things or purchase services that makes us feel good. Also in a subreddit literally called beauty talk and have threads that we can ask for suggestions or reviews on things we can purchase, I think di mo na need maconfuse about the responses in the thread.
You may think that men don’t need the feel to buy certain items, pero makikita mo naman na mga lalaki naboboost para sakanilang pagkalalake nila pag may sariling vehicle, car o motor man. Sapatos nga lang eh.
Ikaw ba, curious lang, ano nag papaaffirm ng girlyness mo?
I am aware that it's the beauty subreddit - l said above, I like and use makeup, it just doesn't affirm anything, it is purely aesthetic to me.
The examples you provided for men: cars or car maintenance (skill-oriented, a practical investment, method of transportation), shoes (literal need, protects your feet) vs. what's been provided here: lashes (beauty related, possible health hazard for your eyes), nails (beauty related, done at regular intervals, can affect the health of your nail bed, it they're long nails, that can be breeding ground for bacteria / can make tasks with your hands a bit more difficult) - there's other comments about being assertive (which I find to be cool) and enjoying their relationships (more power to them).
I am aware that nothing is free, but I would like to be mindful of how we consume things - from several perspectives - environmental and financial (overconsumption) - feminist consciousness (female body dysmorphia + beauty standards that women feel compelled to adhere to)
I don't feel the need to affirm my girlyness kasi that implies I am less of a girl if I don't do certain things, or that in order to be a girl, I must do x and y. I just know that I am a woman, and there is nothing I need to do for upkeep. No maintenance, no ritual, just being.
I appreciate your reply and your perspective. Thank you.
Always being clean, washed and styled hair, hair clips/ribbons, wearing any pastel colored dresses, fresh nail extensions, pedicured feet, and and a really really good mascara
I put make-up on, dress nicely whenever I go out, skincare, fix my hair, putting my favorite perfume on. Of course, who could forget about retail therapy haha!
I’m happy with minimal skincare, cheek and liptint, and perfume. I’m also growing my hair to my dream length. Medyo boyish ako and a mom; enough na sila to make me feel feminine. 😅
Always been a girly girl pero it would be make up hahaha overrated some would say and already planning ahead kung anong isusuot ko when the day comes na lalabas na ako.
Ohhh I've been using nail serum & cuticle oil! I apply it every night, tapos throughout the day, I apply cuticle cream after washing my hands (if I remember haha)
I also experiment with different hairstyles and use hair serum so it's softer <3 oh and I like wearing (and buying) different earrings!
I use Luxe Organix Nail and Cuticle Serum. It's very easy to apply and smells really good! You can find it at Watsons.
I also use Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream - this is what I apply after washing my hands. Also smells good and it's not sticky! I bought mine at Beauty Bar PH.

I dress up kahit saan ako pupunta. Also kahit anong gawin ko (sports, yoga, running) lakas maka look forward for the next games coz i look forward to dressing up again hahahah
not beauty related pero how do you manage to eat alone sa tita restaurants with big servings? i wanna eat alone more din pero di ko maubos ubos servings when i want to try diff dishes haha
kikay ako in theory but lately lng ako naging kikay in terms of presenting myself. I started in wearing cute earrings (dangling earrings, flower earrings, boho earrings) because I was binge watching old ABS-CBN shows and napansin kong laging sinusuot ni Kim Chiu yung mga cute earrings sa PBB. after nun, parang feel ko ang bata ko and at the same time kahit na yung damit ko is hindi naman girly talaga, parang nag-aadd sa feminine character ang earrings. Very effortless sya na accessory.
mga local shops sa shopee po. you can search handmade earrings/handmade beaded earrings. though baka hindi po hiyang sa lahat kasi yung material not necessarily hypoallergenic. if you want po yung stainless steel na hindi po kayo ma allergy, I recommend penny pairs and sunspell.
my routine of dressing up when going out, getting nails done, buying anything pink, and top of the list: pleasuring self while feeling super duper sexy ;)
Buying new clothes that makes me feel pretty, wearing make up (but I'm bad at it lol), buying jewelry and kikay sheesh. Receiving flowers (or anything kikay) makes my feminine side happy as hell, ehe
I intentionally learned to talk in full sentences, not rushed and not loud. I take my time when explaining myself and maintain healthy eye contact. Work in progress but getting there!
hopping on the only comment I've seen that doesn't mention a consumable product. haha
cooking for my partner with an apron on. as a lesbian I'm soooo steeped in counterculture and independence that I've circled back into a version of traditional gender roles. 🤣 sometimes you just feel the feminine urge to greet your partner at the door with an apron on and a hot meal on the table and I'm NOT ashamed to say it (maybe a little?)
It's maybe weird but I don't feel so girly when I do my makeup and skincare. it's just a chore to me, I don't get that dopamine hit that I assume most makeup users get from it. I put on makeup the way I put on a coat when it's raining - just because it's what I need to do, because people somehow treat you as more worth of trust and respect when you are made up, and it helps get things done.
not meaning to imply I'm superior for the way I approach beauty, just expressing.
The apron thing - that's cute. 😍 I totally get it. Going to the salon feels like a chore to me as well! I go there to do the bare minimum which is to have my hair trimmed. Hence, I thought about intimacy because maybe that's when I feel most 'girly' with my husband yet I'm glad I can also be comfortable with him in moments when I feel boyish taking the lead or making the first move. ☺️
Make up (i’ve been investing in high end make up products recently! Super worth it!)
Monthly nail extensions
Monthly footspa & gel pedicure
Monthly wax sessions (as a hairy girl 🤦🏻♀️)
Perfumes (same dilemma with makeup)
Dressing up ofc
STYLING MY HAIR - this talaga makes a huge difference for me. Grabe maka boost ng confidence. Trust me kahit anong ganda ng ootd mo, if your hair is not put together, parang always may something missing.
Honorable mentions: shopping ALONE, hot girl playlist when driving
Hello po! I just started exploring make up and right now ang meron lang po ako ay local products (Ellana & BLK) and yung basics lang po — lip oil ng BLK, Ellana foundation, and nagsi-shimmer na eyeshadow from Pink Flash 🤣 May I know po ano yung magiging difference kapag gumamit ng high end make up? Hindi po talaga ako maalam sa make up huhu just genuinely curious para I consider buying one too kung worth it talaga. By the way, yung natural make up po ang ginagawa ko everyday going to work.
Honestly for me yung main difference talaga is longevity & yung ganda ng magkakalapat ng products sa face ko. I have local makeup products din naman but I tend to reach for the high end ones more kasi hulas proof sya lalo na sa weather natin now.
You don’t necessarily need to invest in high end makeup if the products you’re using right now are working for you! BUT if you really want to, I suggest na invest in BASE products muna like foundation, concealer, contour/bronzer, setting powder, setting spray, + blush if you’re a blush girly like me! But if I were to pick my top 3, concealer (same shade as my skin tone for spot concealing), setting powder, & setting spray talaga.
Of course, you have to have a good skin care routine din! Kasi kahit gano kamahal yung make up na gamitin mo, if hindi well-prepped yung face, wala rin ☹️ hope this helps!!
Damit, damit, damit. Bwahahah! Kahit sobrang dami na, ang hilig ko pa rin bumili. Laman ng utak ko OOTD. 😂
I’m also on skincare, eyebrow threading, brazilian, and perfume.
i'm a guy! 😅 masc-presenting, but I love tending to my feminine side by purchasing makeup and skincare. the latter is universal, pero there's something inherently therapeutic about it!
I also love exploring korean/japanese fashion trends, I have a pinterest board tailored around it specifically for daily inspos haha I love styling and making myself look good as much as possible to have a significant impact on ppl around me hehe

Holy golly, medyo di ako makarelate sa majority ng sagot dito kasi di talaga ako pala-ayos ng sarili 🙃
Probably siguro sakin it's skincare, pedicure (hindi ako ma-manicure na tao huhu), UA hair removal, eyebrow shaping (I can't rely on my hands welp), and buying cute shirts/blouse every now and then (uunti lang neutral/basic no-print shirts ko hoho).
Non-beauty related pero fangirling also helps (like tili-tili over cute things when no one's looking ganyan).
Wear makeup, accessories, put on a cute hair style! not just ipit na ponytail. Style your hair. Speak nicely, be nice. fix your posture, then walk around with konting kembot 🤣 thats what i do at least
Have a monthly beauty routine that you can maintain such as mani/pedi, body massage, brazilian wax, hair treatment, etc. Para may ilolook forward ka rin every month. Aside from taking care of yourself on the inside, taking care of your appearance is also a good thing to make you feel pretty hence, make you feel more girly.
Skirts and dresses! Simplest way I made myself feel more feminine tapos nagaayos ng hair and make-up kahit nasa bahay. Yung pang-daily lang like mascara (optional) > blush > liptint
Use feminine footwear din like sandals, short heels, platforms, basta wag laging rubber shoes haha
This! I'm the type of girl who grew up wearing pants and doesn't wear shorts/skirts that are above the knee. Kaya when I wear skirts and dresses now (syempre, below the knee pa rin haha), I feel feminine. 💙
I still don't know how to do makeup but we''ll get there 💙
Internally: I've recently started to move slowly. Literally. Like, I take my time walking and moving. I'm doing my best to be and live in my body. Basically embodying the feminine energy and the soft life.
Externally: I use lighter and more natural tones sa make up. Nothing too dramatic and nagccall ng attention. I pay attention more to my hair and nails din.
Makeup. I developed an enthusiasm in makeup when I was around 10. I taught myself how to apply makeup through watching a lot of make-up tutorials on YT and TikTok. This hobby of mine saved my life many times. I also love to style my hair with cute ribbons 💓
Nails talaga. It’s either I have a veryyyy kikay nail art or a simple manicure/gel polish. I’d go for nail art kapag may events ako like concert and birthday, then one color na polish lang if weddings, vacays, chill month.
