Best products you've used for fine lines and wrinkles

Hello! I'm starting to see fine lines lalo na sa forehead. I've had crow's feet din for a long time but it improved because of my constant use of eye cream. I haven't found the best yet, but I'm very tempted to try V&M Total Potion. The only thing stopping me is it has natural hyaluronic acid from tamarind. Unfortunately, I recently discovered I get bad breakouts from hyaluronic acid.

What are the best products you've tried that has that botox effect and helped improve the appearance of your fine lines?. Kindly include your skin type as well. Thank you so much!

V&m is not FDA approved. Look for it din sa FDA website. I suggest retinol by kleud or luxe organix then sunscreen by face republic they are all available in watsons

Sa tretinoin nawala yung pa-start na 11-line wrinkle ko forehead! Started with microsphere three times a week for lesser irritation and purging, then worked my way up to 0.05%. Peeling will reduce fine lines. Then you can maintain it with serum. Fave kong serums are Caudalie Vinoperfect and Lancome Genifique. Then, once a week sa gabi, I apply Elemis Elemis Peptide4 Overnight Radiance Peel. Pero if you do facial naman once a month, you can skip the Elemis one.

Hello, there’s this brand in Korea, Prettyskin that sells a 24k gold wrinkle perfecter. All in all I like it, it has a glass skin effect woke up like this aura, it kinda gives you an instant banat and just the right amount with every pump. The downside, pricey.

Agree with tretinoin! When I took another degree, my classmates who were 10 years younger than I thought that I was 4 years older than them. They were surprised that I was far older than they already thought I was. 😁 also been using Kikumasamune (my HG!), rice ferment filtrate (sake), for 9 years now.

The Olay Retinol 24 works for me! I also tried their serum but I like the cream better probably because of its texture. I feel like it gives better results. I’m hoping to try their Retinol 24 Max soon!

Not a "product" and nothing I've used (I am not the demographic, however I look for skincare for my parents who are getting on in age) but I've seen derms strongly encourage use of silicones and zinc oxide if your skin tolerates them.

Silicones in makeup do incredible in filling pores, smoothing out texture and fine lines, and overall making skin look more "youthful" temporarily.

I've seen quite a number of people swear by ferments - both the expensive ones like SK-II and the many, many dupes like Missha.

As everyone else has said - tretinoin is the golden standard. I saw some recent buzz that actually suggest applying your retinoids to wet skin if your skin is capable of surviving (not for the faint of heart and would not be doable for everyone) and you want even faster skin cell turnover. And never forget sun protection. The sun is not your friend!!! You are not a plant!!!

Try ksecret seoul 1988 retinal.. I recently ordered this one because I've read retinal is 11 times better than retinol and less irritating.. also retinol degrades overtime so you get less effective product overtime. I also checked and it doesn't have hyaluronic acid on the ingredient list

I've been using tretinoin for 14 years na haha. I'm turning 28 in a few months so I started using it since I was a teen pero for acne pa noon. Pina continue lang ng derma ko kasi sabi niya para daw maganda pa rin ang skin texture ko habang tumatanda.

Tretinoin 0.5 lang talaga for 14 years and sa umaga lang ako nag mmoisturize and sunscreen.

I think better if mag consult kayo ni daughter mo sa derma para ma assess niya skin type and kung ano magiging hiyang sa balat niya. Very oily din kasi skin ko noon kaya tretinoin na agad pinrescribe sakin.

For the first 2 years yata based sa pagkakatanda ko meron din akong parang drying lotion? Di ko alam tawag kasi galing sa derma yung gamot hahaha pero para siyang yung Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Same na same. Tapos may azelaic acid na bar soap panghilamos din from the derma.

Nung college na ako, nag try ako mag Belo. Di ko nagustuhan doon kasi ang sakit mag prick ng acne and mas mahal gamot. Puro Obagi yung brand ng gamot na pinapagamit sakin. Effective naman, mahal lang talaga haha.

I was thinking na medyo bata pa sya na magpa derma and meron nang mga chemicals na ilalagay sa mukha. Iniisip ko baka puberty lang, and then yung uncle nya, prone to acne din nung teenager, pero nung adult nawala na. Pero yung sa case mo, parang mula teen hanggang adult may alaga from derma. Hindi kasi ako prone to acne kaya hindi ko pa alam gagawin LOL.

Pero since 14 ka nagsimula magpa derma, pwede ko na rin sya ipaderma. Yung products na binigay sayo ng derma, effective naman? Nawala mga pimples mo?

Actually nagpa derma ata ako 11 or 12 years old lang hahaha. Kasi sobra talaga acne ko. Pero puro pini prick lang ginagawa sakin noon and benzoyl peroxide gamot binibigay sakin.

Nung lumipat ako ng doctor when I was 14 na nga, hindi niya ako piniprick and tret na agad. Nawala naman pimples ko and until now di na ako nagkakaroon ng pimples. Isa na lang or dalawa ganun.

I think okay lang naman na ipa check up mo sa derma daughter mo, pero I suggest sa hospital talaga na derma or clinic. Wag yung mga aesthetic clinic na nasa malls.

14 years?? Ako recently lng gumamit ng RDL Babyface 3, pang 1 week ko pa lang ngayon, medyo nag iimprove naman yung mga acne marks ko kahit papano.

Suggest ko rin na sabihin mo sa magiging derma mo regarding the fine lines or any slow aging routine you can do and use. Baka rin kasi may sensitivity ka or may allergic reactions. Napaka-common din ng hyaluronic acid eh, kahit na hindi siya yung "star" ingredient ng item.

Ako kaunting niacinimide lang, pero anything around the regular percentage parang di ako hiyang. I have clindamycin solution from a derma for really big breakouts pero sabi niya talaga may hapdi. moisturizer lang tuloy ang gamit ko pag natuyo na yung clindamycin solution. Ganun talaga, iba iba tao.

These are recommendations from my dermatologist for fine line concerns:

Morning: Cleanser + Vit C serum (recommended although pricey: Khiel’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate) + sunscreen of course

Night: Cleanser + Retinol/retinoid/tretinoin with strength depending on your skin tolerance. I use The Ordinary’s 0.5% retinol, relatively milder yata ito.

Best to really consult a dermatologist so they can tailor-fit skin care for your skin type and concerns. Mine used a machine to scan and evaluate my face, and then made recommendations from there. My skin care routine became much simpler after my consultation, kumbaga, it was optimized. I no longer use some usuals like a moisturizer and toner, but the above routine works really well on me. :)

I've had really bad acne breakout in 2019 and was prescribed tretinoin. Ever since, i didn't stop applying it. Skin still has no fine lines (but I'm still 30).

For me, retinol/retinal talaga is key! I haven’t taken tretinoin since I find it’s insanely drying for me no matter what I do, but if you can get a prescription for that, I say go! Otherwise, I double up on sun protection with a cap/wide brimmed hat and sunglasses. 😊
