Especially when its in lieu of actual paid shifts! Like what the hell. My new job is killing me. They lured me in with "$40/hr" but I barely get 20 hours a week, the schedule is inconsistent, and they have been giving me "on call shifts" every week and this week they gave me TWO OF THEM. I'm working only 3 real shifts (only 1 weekend shift).

WTF! so I'm barely making $800/wk and I can't get a 2nd gig or have a life!

I think these shouldn't be legal or there should be some sort of compensation. Am I being dramatic? Or is this a red flag and I need to move on?

Been doing this for 15 years and this is the worst job for scheduling I've ever had
