Hello. I'm a student from Korea and I'm going to walk from Brisbane to Noosa as the title says with my friends during vacation. Is there a legal problem with this? I'm asking because I don't know about Australian law because I'm an international student.

Remember that 1d 8h is 32 hours straight walk. That could realistically take a week, there are so, so, so many better hikes in the area I would seriously reconsider and do a hike. I think the Glass House Mountains are around that area and they are incredible.
Omg yeah … 8 hours of hiking a day is a lot with a low weight. If you’re carrying multiple days of water it could reduce that to 6 hours … 8-12 hours with a 25 lb pack is doable… but that’s ultralight. With 50-60 lbs he’ll need a good break every 45 min.
Add back in those consumables like water and food and it can be UL. We're talking worn weight here
I’ve read about 10 lbs but when I set out to achieve it I probably got to 17 lbs dry weight…
But to carry 5 days of water could be 40 lbs. so I guess that was my point — if all your equipment weights 1 lb, if water access is unreliable you’re still hauling 50 lbs of water and food on your back… to start anyway …
Yeah I picked up some backpackers after renting a car on the way up one trip. There are many many better ways to do this.

The map estimates 1 day and 8 hours of nonstop walking. So 32 consecutive hours walking at the average walking pace not accounting for fatigue. Being pretty reasonable with assumptions saying you walk 6-8 hours a day that’s 4-5 days of walking. Never mind carrying the provisions and equipment for surviving that walk (water, food, camping gear). It also being google is probably having you walk on the shoulder of the highway.

Google is estimating like a robot. From some brief research most humans can walk between 5 and 30 kilometers a day depending on fitness level. This trip shows 139 kilometers.
Human walking speed is about 4.5km/h so 139/4.5 or 30hours, right around the 1 day 8 hours Google is estimating, of the person walked at the same pace without stopping for 30 hours straight.
I did some trekking on relatively flat land in my 20s, did about 900 kms on one trip. 20 kms was an easy day, 30-35 was standard. By the end I could do 50-55 km days, but they weren't short!

Why would you want to? This is along a higway. There are long beautiful hikes in the area.
There is the sunshine coast hinterland great walk which you could spend 3 days doing for example
Australia on maps is deceptive 😂. This dot on your map will move snail speed in real life. Please don’t. Noosa has plenty of hikes with coastal views. Walk there as much as you want!
If your asking on Reddit I would say your probably unprepared. This seems strenuous and right next to a highway most of the time. Try another map app out to find another route at least.
I would suss out the Cooloola Great Walk if you’re interested in something like this. It’s a 5 day walk from Noosa to Rainbow Beach that has designated camping areas along the way. You can definitely do it in less than 5 days (I have) if you’re after something shorter.
Walking along the road shoulders from Brisbane to Noosa is not something I’d recommend from a road safety standpoint.

The best option is to take the train to landsborough and then bus to Caloundra (or bells creek), then pick up the coastal pathway to Noosa. This path has some great views and there are hotels/hostels on the way. Stop and use the free bbqs or coffee shops. Like others say, the freeway is not very scenic. If you want to add more walking, check out all the other walks available on the coast.
The bigger issue Is have you ever walked so far before? Almost 2 hours by car is a preety far distance to walk. Legal or illegal your going to be so physically destroyed walking that far your legs are going to be like rubber. If your planning to hitch hike that distance it is illegal in queenslands from what I've ready in a quick google whether they stop your for it or not is a coin toss. Be careful making making that trip no matter what you do.
Honestly just get the train, you can jump off in stations like Beerwah and Glasshouse Mountains and do some hikes. You can also grab a bus from Landsborough and stop off at the beach towns like Mooloolaba, Coolum and eventually Noosa.
As someone who has lived in the area: this is a stupid idea. If you seriously want to spend a week walking along the Bruce highway then you've got rocks in your head. Go to Glass House, Tamborine, Mary Valley or any of the literally hundreds of better options. As far as I know, there isn't a pedestrian route to Brisbane from Sunny. If there is, it'll be much longer than what Google says.
Edit: it can also reach 30+ degrees even in winter. Good luck dealing with that heat on the side of a two lane highway...

Good lord, what a terrible idea. There would be way better options for doing the walk that isn't on the side of a highway... That's going to take more research than a Reddit post and obviously more time. Australia has great hiking trails, but the bloody highway isn't one of them.

Legally you're probably fine as you can walk on the shoulder of roads in Australia. Realistically this is a very dangerous and unpleasant place to be with traffic travelling near to you at very high speed.
The bigger immediate issue is water: there are often no reliable sources for large stretches and it's very hot. Camping facilities are also set up for motorised travel and at a stretch cyclists.
The trip is possible, but if you're asking on Reddit for advice it's probably not going to go well.
