Hi guys! I'll start by apologizing if I will make grammatical errors, my English isn't perfect sorry!
I'm Marco from Italy, I'm 24 and at the end of the year I will do a solo trip in the south east Asia. I don't have written an exact itinerary yet but my idea is to stay there for about a couple month, land in north Vietnam (Ha Noi), go down south and cross the boarder of Cambodia by Mekong river and after that I have to figure it out if I want to visit Thailand or Laos that took me less time since is way smaller than Thailand. I have traveled in many different countries but this will be my first solo trip and I'm super excited about! Advice of any kind is super appreciated but I have a question about shoes and backpack cause I have no idea especially for the last one. I'm planning a budget holiday but I don't want to be stingy on that things and ruin my journey there with feet and back messed up but I don't even want to spend a fortune ahah. My budget is about 150€ for backpack and 100€ for shoes, will be enough?
Hoping someone can save my back and wallet, I send greetings to every one! :)
Hi! I just came back from SEA! :D
I brought a pair of old sandals, a pair of sneakers and a pair of flip flops with me. I got great use out of all of them but as other commentors have said you can make do with much less. As long as you bring a pair of comfortable shoes and don't care if they get dirty you'll be fine.
Not sure about mens backpacks but the Osprey Farpoint was popular from what I saw! They have a 40l one if that's what you're looking for :)
