oh come on
Pardon?
No, I don't think I will.
I don’t know. Sounds like a cell phone to me
Man I can really feel the warmth on my feet
It's already surprising that there were no skips in 30 seconds, the sound quality is even "good" for $20 but the problem is that it probably still damage the vinyl much more than any other decent turntable
I wasn't using the record player itself. I was feeding audio through the line in.
I have a normal record player for my vinyl. I bought this thing only for the radio mode.
Maybe line in at times.
The cassette is an old style side loading auto-play cassette player, which works fine.
The CD player, is well, your typical CD player.
This has to be rage bait. Don't feed the troll
I understand that there are valid criticisms of Crosley record players, particularly regarding their potential to scratch vinyl. However, I want to clarify that when I talk about my Crosley music station sounding good, I'm referring specifically to the audio itself. I only use mine for mostly the radio, sometimes line in, and rarely the cassette and CD. Never the vinyl.
It's disheartening to see my comments receive downvotes without consideration for the context. I believe it's important to have an open mind and acknowledge that not everything that has a single flaw, is automatically all bad right across the whole board.
It honestly feels that people want to hate on Crosleys, just for the prime reason of having something to hate.
I mean, the main reason people say Crosley is bad is because you get really poor sound quality and even damage in vinyl records, you never specified in your post that you weren't using the turntable, If you only use the radio then it wouldn't make more sense to just buy a radio from a decent brand?
He posted this in the turntable forum as well. Pretty sad really.
Yes, I did. And I stand by it. Unlike those who spread biased opinions, I'm here to unveil the truth. Crosleys are unfairly maligned solely because of one component—the record turntable. It's not about succumbing to popular opinion; it's about challenging it. Every downvote only fuels my determination to shed light on Crosleys. Count on it: the more downvotes I receive, the more I'll continue to assert my stance.
I'm backing away slowly......

Well, you see, I wanted something that looks pretty, like a piece of furniture, since I wanted it to blend in with the wooden cabinet it was going to be on. Also, it was only $20, and has stereo. Not to mention, it does have the option of playing CDs, cassettes, and even direct line-in, which might sometimes come in useful, because those players don't damage the medium.
Although I don't understand why people say it sounds bad. The sound quality is pretty decent, honestly. It's not bad. For $20, I can get a cheap plastic radio, that looks crappy, from Amazon, from an off brand company that has a single speaker and sounds tinny and harsh, and also might fail in a week. Crosleys, although using cheap parts, use parts that have been around for a long time, and are known to "get the job done".
For example, the cassette player, is a direct ripoff from car cassette players in the 70s, that were also sideways loading. They aren't high end, but they do work.
At this point, either it's a bug, or trolls downvoting this just to be annoying. Frankly, I don't give a damn.

When I first got this thing for $20 from the thrift store, I didn't expect much out of sound quality, but honestly, it's not that bad. It's surprising how decent it sounds like, since people always told me how Crosley makes, and I quote, "garbage that is meant to be thrown away", and that "as soon as you use a Crosley you've already wasted your money". I disagree. It sounds pretty good and works very well. Sure it's not professional sound system, but, it's not bad either.
idk why everyone hates it. i just got mine for $25 and i think it sounds amazing lol. reddit is so snobby sometimes
Extremely snobby. The moderators of this subreddit are also very nasty, and they ban posts just because they don't agree with an opposing opinion.
