Cool! Are you going to work on sharpening the edges of the moon next?
Are you committed to Photoshop? I got about 300 images of the eclipse and wondering about processing. Funds are limited as well as time but I'm willing to save up for the right software "path".
Thanks! I'm going to align the layers a bit better. I'm working on updating my tutorial now, will probably have it done and uploaded by Monday morning if everything goes according to plan.
I am currently doing this all in Photoshop but I'm also going to look into doing this in both GIMP and Krita soon. Both are open source but I haven't used either for this kind of processing so I need to do a little bit of research.
I like your style for the tutorials! It is getting sharper each time. Keep it up!
Thank you :)
If I have like 8 or 9 totality/corona shots in jpg, not raw, would I be able to do anything even close to this? I dont have any experience with creating HDR composites. Any good starting points?
You can get something pretty close. If you watch the video I linked to above, I use JPGs from 2017 to get the final result there.
Wow that is gorgeous
nice! I just followed your tutorial for my images, I'll post them later
Awesome! Can't wait to see your results!
This is an HDR edit consiting of 12 exposures ranging from 1/2000s to 1s. I plan on redoing this video with my newly acquired data but for anyone curious about the stpes I took for this, here you go: https://youtu.be/8pnV7VP6Oaw
