#About the Show

The series centers on 17-year-old Joshua "J" Cody, who moves in with his freewheeling relatives in their Southern California beach town after his mother dies of a heroin overdose. He quickly learns that the family is into a lot criminal activity and is headed by matriarch, and his grandmother Janine "Smurf" Cody, along with his uncles. "J" has to decide if he wants to stay out of it or join in on the family business.
