When the pc reboots and the dozens of tabs I wasn’t using close
MEMENeat, too bad I won’t remember though.
Would I be weird if I despise having multiple tabs open? I can't have multiple tabs open unless I need it, then I close everything, then realize I just closed the tab I was supposed to leave open. Yup. Annoying. ;-;
I never related to the need for multiple tabs. You're like me!
Well now at least I have more manageable backlog to approach 🥲
Firefox let's you reopen them from the history menu. Idk about chrome and its monoculture. And idc about apple's walled garden.
I take it as more of a wake up call , I have to enjoy things before they are gone
chrome does this too... even when you update, it reopens them all.
Chrome has a function under history-> x tabs - > restore windows(shourtcut ctrl+shift+T) where you can restore tabs.
Forced chrome user at work.
Jokes on you, I go through a tab purge every day, because I have it intentionally set to forget my tabs on closing.
If I can't remember at least part of the website title or the url (which is both searchable thanks to browsing history), it wasn't important enough.
Not being burdened by the tab chaos I opened the day before is something I've learned to really appreciate.
Thankfully, chrome has the restore feature that allows me to continue not using the same tabs. I swear I will look at them again someday! 😆
I use extension that allows me to create separate tab groups into neat categories and unload them from memory when not in use. Also most browsers support tab restoration after rebooting. With the combination of these two I have around 60 tabs at any given time without fear of losing any of them.
Nah for me it's liberating to close all the tabs at once, like an actual dopamine kick, I NEED IT MAN
It would be for me to , but there was stuff I still didn’t watch so I feel like I lost something
At this point in my life I just forget which tab was openened so I thankfully don't have that feeling
I forgot as well but I would have like to saw it before it happened , now I’m just reminded of how much I procrastinated
If your restore feature and history don't work there's a way to deep dive into the folders and get the previous recovery file (at least for firefox)
you can fix this (sometimes)!
open chrome/firefox again
press: control + shift + T
ctrl+shift+T is a shortcut to reopen the tab you just closed
