There's an age divide; did you grow up drinking Nesquik or the original?
Why did it taste so much better out of a tin?
Because it was better. The cost-cutting these corps have made in the ensuing decades since have turned so many products into absolute trash.
For some wild reason I was craving Hawaiian Punch one day (haven’t had it in probably a couple decades at least). I go get one of those jugs at the store, come home & pour it over ice. First sip & I about spit it out.
Whatever is in it now is disgusting. It’s got to be the corn syrup & God knows what else. I poured the rest down the drain. So many treats from our childhood are ruined now with cost cutting/cheap ingredients.
Lemon Shakeup, from the carnival, with undisolved sugar on the bottom! I got one 2 years ago, I'm 44. It was awful! Same fresh lemons and the same pound of white sugar, like when I was a kid.
Maximizing profits for share-holders necessitates enshitification.
Google is doing this now. Microsoft has for eons. Apple is outrageously expensive. Nestlé is mind-bogglingly evil.
The world burns for the quarterly reports.
It always tasted that bad. You’re just getting old and your pallet is more refined.
As a kid I remember breathing out of my nose after drinking it and it had that acidic sweet taste that let you know it’s not good. There is a reason your parents and grand parents didn’t drink those fruity processed type drinks when you had a party but would have a coke or 7up
Calling coke or 7-up the less sweet not processed drink is insane. And what's worse is you're right.
Oh yeah it’s processed to death, but it’s higher quality poison compared to Hawaiian Punch
