I’ve been at a manufacturing job for a little over 6 months and the Justin’s boots I wasted my boot voucher on are cooked. I thought they were a good deal ($65 after voucher), but I got what I paid for. I didn’t know what options were really available or what type of boot I needed. The Justin’s pull on square toe has been fine, good enough protection and very slip resistant but Not at all comfortable. I work 12 hour shifts sometimes 6 days a week. I’ve been looking at wedge sole boots for the comfort, and composite toe for weight. The options that jump out are the Ariat wedge and the Keen Cincinnati. I’m not sure how they will stand up to the chemicals at work (mainly coolant and oil) or if they will keep my feet dry while cleaning up or adding coolant. I’d prefer something I can re-sole and customize later.
Check out either of these 2 options: Irish Setter Wingshooter ST or Redwing traction tred lite. Both wedge sole and good for factory floor. Both waterproof and comp toe. I have the wingshooter myself they’re decent boots. The redwings are a little more expensive but have a vibram wedge sole
