It's just every time I see a protect him in archon defence it's always like "can I really be bothered"
Does archon defence have to be 10 waves š or am i just lazy
SuggestionDefence should be slapped to 5 waves (hell just make it 3 slightly longer waves idc)
I also hate interceptions but that's because it's really hard to communicate:
4 players 4 points, take 1 each
Idk why it's hard to tell people that but people are hellbent on zoomies
Cause 90% of the enemies at any given time in interception swarm a single point, and it's boring as hell to sit at a low action point and only occasionally kill one or two enemies.
Yeah it's optimal, it also isn't very fun.
downvote army strikes again lol.
its true and booring.
I really hope for some mission reworks.
I brought a friend into WF lately and she only plays solo ( streaming reasons) and she did most missions by herself, but some missions u "can't" do good early on solo, so she invites viewers into specific modes.
God, I remember struggling to solo the interception on Mars so I could complete the planet and get the extra steel essence for Teshin that week. I probably failed twice before scraping by since this was before the power creep made SP a joke.
I didn't even set it to solo. It just didn't have anyone else queuing since people only ran excursions.
Onlyframes?
But, with 2 people in one spot. Theyāre basically slowing down an already āboring as hellā mission. Itās faster to just grind out Interceptions as fast as possible and go do some more fun missions like survival or exterminate or whichever is a better power fantasy.
Well if people rush to kill enemies trying to takeover captured points, I don't really care if anyone doubles up on the point getting the most enemies.
Quite frankly I don't really see people screwing up interception that often so it doesn't bother me. Long as we retain all four points I don't care if that annoying alarm is constantly blaring or not.
Once all four towers are captured (which should happen as soon as the round has started), it's better for the entire team to pay attention to enemy movements imo. If the enemies are actively swarming a single tower, it would be better if at least one other person went to said swarmed tower so the person that's already there doesn't have to tackle a giant horde all by themselves and spare everyone from a constantly blaring siren.
I've had to take care of a swarmed tower all by myself. It's painful. Not only do I have to do everything I can to not get overwhelmed by the sheer enemy number and keep the tower from falling, I'm constantly hearing that siren blaring in my ears. I, personally, would've liked one other person to have come and help.
Hydron...then the only thing you have to do is delete them all and the only potential setback is exists units
Yeah I feel like the issue with interception is that enemies usually attack just one or two points, resulting in people getting bored looking for enemies, or someone not being able to handle that point on their own.
You wont find better enemy density anywhere but on a single interception node so im definitely leaving my post to tear shit up, in all honestly its stupid fun and i wish that they all got the same high traffic when all players are present,
That just seems like an issue with the squad, there's no point waiting around at a captured point when the mode is designed around a large wave of enemies taking one point at a time.
The game is all about zoomies, asking me to stay still is kinda counter intuitive to the games mechanics.
Interception solo is like twice as fast as defense. I'll take that any day
Interception has a weird anti-gameplay synergy where NOT killing enemies is the way to win. A room stomping rhino with high duration where you just hard cc all spawned enemies, then just wait out the timer, is the way to go. All you do after is just clean up eximus, and I deal with them by slapping huge range silence on him so they never use abilities.
It's fun in a way, where you're efficient AF at it. I like it for solo cuz it's kinda skill based to maintain as many cc'd enemies as possible.
It can be pretty boring if nothing attacks your point.
Shit, for some reason, I thought the more people on a point, the faster it gets captured....
It does, but it's still faster to have 1 person cap 1 point each, and then just stay there and defend it
Provided everyone is running decent builds and can deal with being the "main point" (enemies like to pick a point and rush it), 1 person per point is the most optimal
Idc if people want to not be optimal, but to those saying this isn't optimal, ur just wrong
It does. People just like to have this theory crafted "optimal" 4 people, 4 towers, 1 on each tower mindset.
In actuality, points capture faster with more people on it, and enemies tend to swarm 1 or 2 points, so it's more efficient to let people do their thing since that's got a better chance of keeping those points from getting captured. No reason to stay at a point with 0 enemies when another has an entire wave swarming it, after all.
The only "problem" is when one or two enemies sneak over to a point that isn't getting swarmed, and the game doesn't bother to alert you that there's an enemy there. In most matches I've played, there's usually 2 of us who go recapture it, so it's not even a big deal.
Hell, sometimes 2 of is going to recapture the point that 1 enemy took causes the swarmed point to get taken since, surprise, it's too much for one person to deal with (depending on build and such, of course).
(WEE-WOO-WEE-WOO the no fun police found me!)
Hell, switch it up to be like Defense in the Circuit. 3 waves only, but the final wave is heavily laden with Eximus.
This is true most of the time, except when doing void fissures. God, I wish everyone knew to keep the points neutralized until 10 reactants drop. You don't want to win the round until after your relic is cracked. I've had squad mates who kept their points captured and let the blue bar keep going to 100% with like only 6-7 reactants dropped.
