These are my comfiest jeans, patched with pieces of old denim! Sadly each time I finish a patch I spot a place that could do with another patch...
These look awesome! Made me think of a space theme, like moons.
I see moons too!
Oh I've never seen the round patches before, I love this
I think those are portals to the denim dimension.
The Denimsion
Very dope
How did you sew the patches on the legs? Did you have to open the seams?
No seams were harmed, just used hem tape (the iron-on stuff) to hold the patch in place then stitched round the edge of each patch. Some places there's layers and layers of patches now!
Super cool
"Sadly" they find new spots for a patch...
Sometime tells me you're not too brokenhearted.
These are fabulous and very inspiring.
Haha thank you! The only sadness really is that I'll have to find time to add more patches, I really enjoy the end result...
I see you've reinforced the crotch area quite efficiently👍. Did you do anything special there or just put a round piece of jeans on top? Did you also cover the inner part too?
Nothing spectacular really... another circle of denim! I did stitch that one across the middle as well as round the edge to even out the tension. Almost all the other circles are just sewn at the edge - I figured they were small enough to not need additional reinforcement!
Thanks! I just use zigzag stitching on the holes and this is definitely a more elegant solution.
Wow! I love this. Just beautiful.
Super awesome
This is so cool.
I had no idea these old worn jeans would get so much love! Thanks for the feedback guys, it's awesome to get the encouragement!
That's very cool and I like it a lot. Incidentally, I recently learned that Levi's has trademarked (?) the specific thread color they use.
Oh really? I used a 'gold' colour that I found in a general shop that's pretty close...
Every source I'm finding seems slightly heresy, so take it with a grain of salt. That said I could see the difference between what you sewed and the original.
Love these!!!
Very cool, kinda looks like circular gallifreyan.
Or color those circles brightly with fabric paint, then run thin lines from the bottom of the circles to the hem, so they look like balloons! You can paint the balloon “strings” on, or use a thin strip of binding. Satin ribbon will shrink when washed, so that would not be the best choice. The moon & planets are a great idea, tho!!
They look like bubbles rising in the air! I love this look
