It felt right and I had the stupidest grin on my face while I did it.
I thought Vinny would have named his Melpert but he went with Sloot.
I like Melpert.

What dictates what color Yoshi you get? Mine ended up standard green.
It’s the amount of time you take from getting the egg to it hatching after forfeiting or losing to the Adonis Twins. I think if you take longer than 20 minutes, it resets back to the first color which is green.
Well that makes sense. I play games at a an absolute glacial pace and write notes for nearly everything so I have no doubt it took me well over 20 mins.
Apparently it depends on how much time passes between when you get the egg and when it hatches

Hm, the funny part is Melpert is a name that kind of fits right in the Mario world if you think about it. Always such a good 'lil guy!
