Today I said goodbye to my '22 AWD ID4.

Really the best part of the vehicle is the way it looks. No complaints on that. But that's where the compliments stop.

From the initial purchase where not a single salesperson could confidentially walk me through how things work, it just went downhill from there.

Mine was assembled in Germany (they all used to be) so wasn't eligible for the tax rebate. Of course I didn't find out until AFTER I bought it. Bye bye $7,500.

The technology is absolute dogshit. I mean just stupid. I (and I'm sure most of you) didn't receive a single computer update in the 2+ years. Not one! That is beyond ridiculous for a so called 'connected' vehicle. The app: also garbage. Basically you can do two things in the app. and they are basic at best. The actual buttons in the vehicle are not intuitive. Is it really that much to ask for a second set of window buttons for the rear windows? And why the F does the passenger door not open when the rest do?

Range is atrocious, even in warm weather. 80% gets you 220 miles, really? And why does my interior lighting just decide to change colors on its own?

How is it possible that you can actually get locked out of the vehicle with your key IN THE VEHICLE? Well it is. And that wonderful 10lb key fob that is like a brick. No more.

The charging network they own called Electrify America? Good luck finding one and also finding one that has usable stations. There's a reason they offer it free for 3 years: they know you might be able to use it twice per year. The rest of the J1772 charging network is hit or miss at best and slow as molasses to charge. To go even on a 70 mi. trip and pray there's a J1772 charger to charge is not fun.

I had a Tesla 3 before I bought the ID4 which was probably my mistake. It spoiled me. But we've now gotten rid of the ID4, at a $25,000 loss, mind you, and bought a lightly used Model Y.

I wish y'all nothing but the best of luck.
