If Christ preached to the death (1 Peter 3:18-20, 4:6), and God gives all the opportunity to be saved (Titus 2:11), and God wants all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4), yet there a lot of ppl who have never and most prob will never hear of Jesus, then does that mean that some could be preached to and be saved after death?
There is a lot of controversy over what Peter said. I would not make any new doctrine based on such a confusing passage.
Yes, God gives everyone a chance to be saved. But just because they never hear of Jesus doesn't mean they can't be. We all have a choice to sin or not to sin. We choose to sin. So everyone is accountable to God for their sins.
People followed God outside of Israel in the OT.
As to salvation after death, the Bible says it is appointed unto men to die once. After that, the judgement.
Once you die, that is it. You had your opportunity.
Yeah, but if it was not for Jesus then You would have no opportunity to eternal life, and to have eternal life You have to believe in him, but at the same time there are people who will never have the chance to hear of Jesus while alive, so can You really say they had their opportunity?
People are aware of God even without Jesus.
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. - Romans 1:20
People sin not because they haven't heard of God, but because they want to.
Yeah, just by looking around You can know there's a God who created they universe, but at the same time is not like You are gonna know Jesus by just looking at the world, afterall people come up with different ideas of God, and i mean, could You Say that someone who lives in isolated tribe is guilty of never hearing about Jesus?
ould You Say that someone who lives in isolated tribe is guilty of never hearing about Jesus?
Jesus specifically? No. But God, yes. And his requirements for righteousness.
I mean but in that case they will just be damned right away, since no one can earn Salvation by their own actions since everyone sins
since no one can earn Salvation by their own actions since everyone sins
No, we can not earn salvation. But it is our choice to need salvation. We can simply choose not to sin. But we choose poorly.
So we are without excuse.
