I’m curious why would you pay for a trucking school that won’t teach you on all types of equipment, and get you a full license when done? Is it any cheaper than trucking school that gets you a full license?
I got in on a Hope Grant, and they do have a manual truck but they pamper it. Their reasoning is the $25,000 transmission is to expensive to teach in so if you don't come in knowing how to drive on they give little leeway in the truck, they tell you that you are just there to get your CDL and that most fleet trucks are automatic anyways.
Manual transmission trucks are overrated. Absolutely no reason to drive one unless hauling heavy equipment. Automatic is more fuel efficient and better to drive in cities not having to mess with shifting all the time.
