How Southgate will line up vs. Switzerland

Reports of a back three in training. I think matching their 3 would be in character for Southgate - it's what he did against Germany in 2021.

The limits of the BBC selector mean Trent and Saka look like wingers here, but he'll want them to play as wingbacks.

Honestly I think this is a solid lineup given Southgate's tendencies. The shape naturally gives us more passing outlets. Foden playing off the right is a more natural position for him. Trent is in the team but in a basically familiar role. Walker still there for recovery pace. Saka giving natural width on the left even if it's not his ideal position. Palmer can slot in easily for either of the deeper forwards.

It might not be my first choice but I predict we'll be a lot better if he does this.
