That is exactly what I did with my daughter lol. It's a really pretty name and I was always obsessed with the way Elijah pronounced it. I don't ever call her Katherine though 'cause I don't like that name as much
same, my mom named all her kids names that start with the letter A, and so did my older brother and sister. So if i have kids, i’ll have to carry the tradition and give her an A name- Amara and Amerie are my first picks
I fought hard to name our daughter Bonnie. I was SO EXCITED to call her Bon Bon… my wife was on board but every time we said it out loud it just didn’t feel right
My sister's name is Bonnie and she didn't like it for a while. Said it sounded like an old person name, since she was named after our grandma 🤣 teenagers 🙄 we called her Bon Bon or Bonnie bubbles as nicknames but now her nickname is Bonana and mine is PaNina🤣 idk where they came from but it's fun.
Bonana is so great 😂 so many possibilities with Bonnie haha. We really liked it because it sounded “old”. Gotta keep some of these names around. If we have another daughter I might need to name here Estelle or something haha
Same!! I just had a daughter & when I was planning her name, Davina was a big one but when things got closer & more serious about getting a freaking name planned lol & I could just tell it did not, AT ALL fit my daughter, even before I had her obv !
I was going to joke that my daughter would just have 4 middle names lmao but then genuinely thought about it and I'm not sure tbh. I love all the names on the list but even some off the list ie Hayley, Davina, Jenna, Cami, Elizabeth, some variation of Jo etc. Freya would be a pretty kickass name too honestly.
I’m a Rebekah. It’s fine until you want to buy souvenirs with your name on it or grab a coffee at any coffee shop ever or have to spell your name for any person that asks for it because they assume the common spelling.
Hi! I just replied to another comment and said that it hasn’t always been easy with this spelling, but it is the correct one! 🙂👍🏼 haha nice meeting you.
On this list, it'd probably be Bonnie or Katherine. Off this list it'd be Jade though I have personal attachment to that name for IRL reasons but it also happens to be the name of a vampire in legacies.
I actually really dig the name Bonnie because I can see calling my little baby BonBon. Also it has an elderly feel to it without being obvious, I think due to the popularity of the show. But I love names like that: Bonnie, Kitty, Dottie, they’re so cute!
I also kinda liked Rebekah, but only for the spelling. I don’t get the same fuzzy feeling when I see Rebecca. That makes me not wanna name my child Rebekah, but if I saw it as someone else’s name, I’d freak out over how cute it’d be.
Actually, when me and my third girlfriend were talking about having children at one point we seriously considered the name Elena our top pick if it was a girl.
Katerina but not just because of Katherine it’s because it’s Kat graham’s full first name and I just love her too. I love the name Bonnie but it sounds too much like a nickname to me I wish it was short for something else.
Bonnie is by far the best but unfortunately she doesn’t have the best name. My cousin named her daughter Caroline. To be fair, my Aunt’s name was Carolynn and she had terminal cancer when Caroline was born (has since passed- Rest in Peace Aunt Caro!) However, my cousin’s daughter looks and acts so much like Caroline now it is scary! I love my baby cousin but she is so bossy! My cousin has commented on this, too. We said it was just meant to be. Lol
Caroline or Elena both Carrie and El are cute nicknames and the long version are nice and professional for work I’d prob prefer Bonnie tho if it was short for something
i love Kat, but not her show name. Elena is interesting as a name, but i always hear Nina’s voice whenever it comes up lol.
always liked Rebekah w/the ‘k’, so probs Elena and/or Rebekah out of this list
Always Team Vilains 😈🔥 [& secretly Team Ms Cuddles 👀🧸]

On the boy's side, I thought a lot about calling myself « Elijah ». Nothing related to the show, since I discovered the name with Elijah Wood. But I love so much the name, it fits all the criterias I have for a name. But I didn't choose it, because I really feel like it fits someone like the character on the show and so it doesn't fit me 😭😂 that's more of a noble name than I am, but I would have love to 😭 (I didn't even choose to put in middle names, it really doesn't fit who I am)
(And honestly, I live in France, no one would say it the english way, and that's the way I find it the coolest / the most beautiful, I really don't like the french way, so I would've been so pissed by it anyway 😂)
None to be honest but if I had to then I'd choose Rebekah or Caroline. My grandma who just passed away name is Carolyn so idk if I could bring myself to use it in any form now but I have three daughters and none of these names really call out to me
I’m probably going to go for Katherine or Rebekah but not because of the specific characters. Those are both classic, timeless names and no one’s going to make fun of my kid for being named after a Vampire Diaries character. (Yes, Caroline is a classic name too but while I like her more then the characters of Rebekah and Katherine, I don’t like the name as much.)
Could change though depending on what cultural background my spouse is from. If they’re Scottish, I’d swap over for Bonnie and if they’re Romanian/Ukrainian/Russian, etc., I’d be happy to do Elena.
Well my names Rebecca so naming my daughter rebekah would be weird lol. Honestly I don’t like any of these names but mine so I would probably just say Bonnie since she’s my favorite
Either Katherine and call her kitty Kat or Kat when she gets older for short or Elena cause cmon it’s perfect and beautiful orrrrr Bonnie because it’s fun cute and I can call her bon bon
Elena
