Why the Williams sisters have their respective personalities... their Father:
DiscussionWell he’s Irish so
IIRC either the T1 or T2 manual alludes to him being part of the IRA. Its pretty much over for Steve.
Hope Steve doesn’t have a car
LET HER COOK
You can cook and poison someone with the food and make it look like an accident, etc. and he did not think it would be good for assassination? What was he smoking.
Yeah their dad would suck at Hitman.
You don't really need to be a good cook for that...
Well your target has to WANT to eat the food first before you can get them to eat poison.
No they don’t
Okay but it'll probably be more obvious it was you that killed them if you just grab them and stuff a burnt turkey leg down their throat.
🤣 I mean, who tf is gonna expect to die behind choking on a burnt turkey leg?
10/10 for creativity. Anna's pops is on a bad pack.
deads dead
Okay so you're telling me you'd eat something that looks like someone shat in your bowl, and enough to the point that you'd ingest the poison somewhere in there?
i am saying nina would shove the damn food down your throat if she wanted to
That's not very subtle genius, assassin's aren't supposed to be CAUGHT
Have you played tekken
Have you tried using logic and common sense to separate the lore from the game where a dancing coffee addicted MMA fighter can fight a bear that knows Mishima-style Karate?
No
i don't know why people are downvoting you, you're right...
nina would 100% forcefeed the food, or even skip the food altogether and just do straight poison.
Because that’s not how you poison someone! You poison someone when you can’t get close or don’t want a confrontation.
If she’s going to shove poison down their throat she might as well just use her assassination arts.
poisoning doesn't have any particular method. it is strictly inserting something into the human body and let the body's immune system slowly deteriorate from the inside out.
it has nothing to do with being distant... all natural versions of poison require literal contact -- venomous snakes literally get within biting distance, poison dart frogs use their bright colors as a deterrent from being eaten, plants need to be ingested, toxic metals are either inhaled or seep into a bloodstream.
and most importantly, just because nina has assassin arts, doesn't mean she wouldn't employ poison as an interrogation, backup plan, or just use it for its plain utility... if she doesn't have a gun or a blade, but has poison, there's no logical reason to not use it. if she has poison available, and it can do either a delayed reaction or defeat a target instantly, why wouldn't she use it instead of having to go into a fistfight?
What I’m saying is there would be no reason for Nina to shove poison down someone’s throat. She is an expert in hand to hand combat. If she were to kill someone by force, why would she shove poison down their throat and wait for them to die? She could snap their neck far easier.
Poison is a useful tool for those who don’t want to use force. So cooking a delicious looking/tasting meal could come in handy for killing through poison.
I’m not saying Nina wouldn’t use poison, but I am saying that there is no point in poisoning someone BY FORCE when you’re just as capable of killing them unarmed.
Go take care of your kids man
bruh what are you talking about
More reason to love Anna
I hope they explore their relationship some more in T8 when Anna's DLC comes out, 'cause it is really fascinating and pretty tragic honestly, and it's a crucial part of Nina's characterisation :') They could've had Anna come back and work for Kazuya against Nina (who could've worked for Jin again like in T6, and Lee's obv got enough money to give her the amount she'd want) because of how Nina killed her fiancé, and Kaz and Anna actually seem to like each other as people. Like, I could imagine them sharing a drink together, y'know?
But yeah I also like how their childhood/story is somewhat reminiscent of Lee and Kazuya's too (another relationship that's gone a bit underexplored lately 😔), there was this manga that explored the parallel between Lee and Anna a bit, which was really cool <3
But also yeah it's so sad to imagine Anna being so starved for love that she learns how to cook and then she's probably all excited when she finally gets skilled only to have it thrown back in her face so callously :((( I want Mr. Williams' head on a stick <3 Justice for Anna she just wants to be loved 😭😭
Not a Mishima? Joke cutscene for you!
bro think Harada will provide anything else for characters to do then to be Jin's prep squad.
Man annas t7 story is so tragic, she finds a guy leaves the life behind only for her own sister to take her wedding gown in what should have been the happiest day of her life and killing her fiancee, genuinely the better Williams sister give her a damn break
It's such a weird case where they have so much material to work with, but they just don't take the time to develop the relationship. Anna deserves the chance to confront Nina and just UNLEASH.
This reads like Serena and Venus's biography.
seriously. Even the name.
Anna with the daddy issues and Steve with the Mommy issues.
In the anime movie Anna insinuates she killed him
In the anime they both were done in by a dinosaur... so good thing that's not cannon
Nina survived
Forgive me the last time I saw that movie blockbuster video existed... but all the more reason to get salty lol
Anna had the ability to straight up pull a bazooka out of her redacted in Tekken 7 and blow your whole shit up, so I'm team Anna
Anna > Nina in every way imaginable.
In every way imaginable.
Nope
You're just horny.
Did an Anna whoop your ass in T7 and give you PTSD? I saw like 3 comments from you in this post, give it a rest.
5 and counting, and all of them are him calling people who like Anna horny. Like, imagine unironically degrading another person solely because they prefer one character over another.
yall either went thru his history or he pissed yall off that much u remember everything he comments😭
Nah, at the time of writing that there was only like 40 something comments, and I'm on mobile, so it was pretty easy to scroll down the comments. He also happened to be the only one with a bright blue icon so it was easy to tell. I only checked cuz I was curious about what the guy above was talking about.
yea i scrolled more and holy hell this man has some unresolved hatred
I took a quick look at his comment history and he’s incredibly horny for Nina, who is his main, and hates on Anna and the people who play her at every opportunity. What a strange case. You could call it a compliment to Tekken that there exists a person who seems to care so much about a fictional feud between two fighting game characters
as much as I love Nina gotta admit she is as horrible a cold hearted person as his father, sometimes I wonder if I prefer Anna more character wise
I've been a Nina main for the most part since Tekken 3, and honestly, yeah, Anna is the "better person". But not that much, I mean she's still an assassin and all that. So it's not like it moved her into good guy category. So it's just half assed. Nina is 100% committed to her assassin bit, and I personally like that better.
I believe Anna mostly takes contract work as a bodyguard for the people that Nina has assassination contracts for so she can keep messing up her hits and getting a chance to fight her. So she probably doesn't do hitman work to the same degree as Nina.
But I mean, it makes sense for both to be how they are, doesn't it?
Nina was taught to be a killer. She was good at that, and she was praised for that. She enjoyed being a cold hearted assassin. She had no problems fully committing to that.
Anna was taught to be a killer. She wasn't good at that, and she was chastised for that. She didn't enjoy being a cold hearted killer. She had second thoughts about committing to that, to the point she tried to develop a mundane skill such as cooking cause she simply didn't want to be an assassin, and she was chastised even more for that.
So idk man, it kinda makes sense to me that Anna is the way she is. More so than Nina, since she was clearly superior than Anna in every aspect and still went and killed her fiance when she wasn't a threat anymore for some reason.
You mean like an assassin should be?
Anna is goofy.
Not sure why everyone singles out Nina for being "bad" or "eeeevil" when literally a third if the cast are bad guys, weazels or crooks.
But Anna is cooks… Also Steve seems so good hearted. It’s one thing to watch Heihachi and Kazuya be such bastards to eachother and Jin at least had Jun. Poor Steve is an orphan and his only parent figure is the ice queen to him.
Nina was supposed to assassinate him but couldn't pull the trigger tho. She's got more empathy than what we are shown. It's just that Tekken has always had meh storytelling.
And true queens have someone cook for them. lol
And true queens have someone cook for them. lol
Counterpoint: You learn how to cook so you do not get poisoned
lol, well Tekken storytelling was better with the original trilogy. T4 and 5 was pretty good too but they left a lot of things hanging after. 6 was good at customization.
Nina is legit borinf asf, especially without Anna around her lol.
Every character in Tekken is boring af if we're talking about personality or character development
Anna was so boring she got left out of T8
Take that back.
Kuma’s social game rules. Why do you think all those chicks said that they would rather bump into him on a home than a dude?!
Anna by far is one of the most interesting and funnies female characters.
I actually like Anna and hope she makes it in T8 for season 2.I just enjoy messing with Anna mains. 👅
If I had a penny every time a hard to please father named Richard Williams traumatized 2 famous sisters I’ll have 2 pennies. Not much but I’m surprised it happened twice
You're telling me that Anna could've been my sexy milf wife?!! God damn this man!
Yep, Anna hates Nina because Daddy loved Nina.
Also Anna put herself in the kitchen.
Don’t forget nina kills annas fiancee too that’s more than enough reason to hate someone
Oh yeah! That is part of the Bride thing from 7, no?
Yep basically anna gets together with someone from the tekken force in 6 leaves the life behind and nina takes HER wedding dress and kills anna fiancee on her wedding day which is about as fucked uo as it gets
Anna wants to embarrass Nina while Nina want to Kill Anna, at least that's what I think based on their Ending in Tekken 5
I too openly prefer Nina
I knew Anna had issues with her dad which is one of the things liked about her.... when it's obv who the favorite is you tend to feel terrible but she went out and did her thing
I always liked the sisters equally until Tekken 3. The fact that Anna wanted to help Nina restore her memories showed how she still cared for Nina despite their rival, and my love for her grew with later installments where Anna became a lot more sympathetic.
I just hope that when she comes back for Tekken 8, they drop their whole rivalry or at least give Anna more reason to pursue Nina rather than spite. I also want to see Anna interact with Steve. I can honestly see Anna being a good auntie or mother figure to Steve.
Anna is better sister.
The horny sister.
No
I have to disagree with you.
You have to be wrong
I just feel that way, what can I say.
Damn, the more I learn about Anna, the more respect I have for her
Harada thought about this backstory when he was taking one of his many morning shits.
Fans: OH THATS SO INTERESTING!
He literally pulls this shit out of his ass. Like he had anything to do with the creation of Anna.
As a character. Anna was always the best.
She is one of my favourite characters even though I dont main her. Lee is way uo there too even though I cant play him
I’ve always loved Anna more but I’m a flagrant homosexual and she’s so camp
So Nina got the autism from her father, got it.
Ok, now I'm feeling kinda sad for Anna.
Damn, man, why such a sad backstory? Now I kinda understand why Anna tries to be provocative most of the time, she literally didn't had a father affection.
Now I think I prefer Anna over Nina.
Anna simps jumping for joy over the fact she "tried cooking"
😂😂😂
I mean, it’s just a small quirk that adds some depth to her character (being self taught at cooking so she could be better than Nina at something). Kinda makes her more relatable as well
I know. I just like poking fun at Anna mains a bit. Like to get em riled up.
They really are simps and horny dudes.
Nah I'm just making fun. I actually kinda like Anna and hope she makes it in season 2. It's just fun messing with the Anna mains. Especially bc my main is Nina.
Most of them are probably gay dudes tbh. Anna puts out the vibe they like. I'm fine with it. The more the merrier.
Right now the Anna mains are stuck playing Lili, because they refuse to touch Nina. Lol
This is why we like Anna more.
I don’t
here's a kleenex to wipe off your tears
why would i be crying
I'd definitely rather procrastinate with Anna and I swear I'm not horny.
You're just horny.
Bro I swear
Tekken side story
I saw this on my front page and thought it was about the tennis players William sisters....
Freud dialling in
Seems like most of the fathers in Tekken are bad except for Law, Asuka/Lili's dad
Got to love how Harada drops lore out of his ass on twitter.
They’re literally the Zoldycks lmao
I was thinking this was tennis until the last line and then I was like wait, what?
I want a new dynamic between Anna and Steve where they bond over their parent rejecting them and him seeing her as his 'mother figure' so he stops persuing Nina. Nina catches wind of this and feels guilty, realizing that her and Steve's relationship is a reflection of her father (and Nina) being too harsh to Anna.
Nina tries to make amends but it's too late with Steve and Anna rejecting her. Over the coarse of the series they try getting along lol, or sth like that
Which game is this from? Everything post T5 starts to feel like fanfiction but this seems kind of interesting.
Netflix should focus on each character for their Tekken series. I love to see this. The King story line would be cool. Law and Paul would neat as well. Tons of untapped potential.
I assume Richard realized he had made a huge mistake once he noticed that his lunch tasted cyanide-y that day.
That guy is a shit assassin if he thinks cooking can't be leveraged into assassin work with strategically added poison lmao
My girl just can’t get anything damn... can’t get in t8 can’t get her husband back... can’t get a job... and now can’t get some attention from her dad…
Father of the year!
I thought this was talking about Venus and Serena at first, which would’ve also made sense metaphorically as Richard is also their dad
I’m ngl i got the notification for this post and briefly thought we were talking about tennis here 😭
How much of an incel do you have to be, that tekken lore is the focal point of your life and it revolves around it. Hit the gym fools.
Just another reason to prefer Anna over crappy Nina.
Team Anna.
Bro their Dad looks badass!! Would be cool if he joined T8.
He is dead
Completely?
Yes he was used as backstory for Nina and anna
I really hope Anna would give Nina her comeuppance in Tekken 8.
Whenever I see a Williams related post, people are like, "I prefer Anna."
Guys, y'all are just simps and horny dudes who are bitter she didn't make the main roster.
Bro you’re pathetic
Nina is better in every way possible. I'm gay so I don't want to fuck either of them.
Wonder how he would feel about his Grandson the British boxer.
