Miami (Sunrise technically) is notorious for having fair weather fans for all of their sports teams. Why would you want a team who’s fans only (and barely show up) if the team is in the playoffs? They are consistently near the bottom of the league for attendance so why would you want a team like that to have success?

I don’t think so, it was natural to have a let down facing a team you eliminated the previous year in a very emotional series. Toronto was crushed by the 2022 loss. This was a rebuilding year for us, as far as I’m concerned. We lost Killer, patty, Ross, bogo, etc and were trying to revamp our defensive system but it didn’t work out. So long as we keep the core together next year and add some key pieces, I’m sure we’ll go on a run again.
Also, it really is hard not to love the Ullmark/Swayman bromance.

Last year I was glad the Panthers beat the Bruins, because the Bruins needed to be humbled after that regular season. Panthers. I do feel some Florida brotherhood. I carry a chip on my shoulder that I share with other "non-traditional market" fans. My SoFla hatred dissipated when Wayne Huizenga dissipated and when the Lightning got good. Kyle Okposo is an old guy without a Cup. Dude's been through things.
Oilers. The Edmonton-love doesn't annoy me. Edm is 3,000 miles away (from me). What do I care if hockey fans genuflect to McDavid & Draisaitl? (Leon Draisaitl is a cool name.) When I was a kid, the Oilers were beasts so I wouldn't mind if they were beasts again. Go Oilers.
Hurricanes. Brent Burns is an old guy without a Cup. I have multiple groups of friends who root for the 'Canes. They're good folks. Even though the Whalers had the best colors and logo, I don't hate the Hurricanes for relocating. (a big-league team in Hartford?) I have an affection for the old Southeast Division.
Canucks. Vancouver should have a Cup for the same reason Buffalo should have one. I haven't watched a West Coast game (except for Bolt finals games) in decades. Vancouver looks like a nice area....better than Philadelphia, Las Vegas or Dallas.
Lightning. Seriously, I will "root for" or "wait impatiently" for Lightning news more than I will root for any other hockey team. I will enjoy a Stamkos-signing more than any possible (remaining) playoff account. JBB magic is more exciting than a McDavid goal or a Jeremy Swayman/Linus Pauling bromance.

To win this series Florida. To win the cup, Canucks. My partner, she is a huge Canucks fan and it’s fun watching the games over here. When a Canucks game starts at 4 in the morning here since it’s playoffs we set alarms for 4:15AM, put the TV on and wake up. Watch the first period then after the first period during intermission we either go for a 3-4 km run or jump in the water for a 1 to 1.5km swim. Then watch second period. Then at this point it’s about 5:30 5:45AM and we make breakfast and get showers, watch the third period and if it’s a work day then get ready for work and if it is not then probably go back to bed for 2 or 3 hours.
