question about intercity trains

Some people have answered this by explaining that until recently, tunnels beyond Springwood west bound didn't have the clearance for H sets. But that doesn't explain why Newcastle gets both H and V, while South Coast gets just H. As a train nerd who lives on the Central Coast, it's nice we get a variety of trains.
