I didn’t sell my shares when my husband lost his job and I supported our entire family on my salary alone, but I did buy more when my husband got a new job a month ago. Unfortunately it was also when the price was over $30, so I’ve averaged down but still, I could’ve had better timing.

*Edit for some more context: Thank you so much for all of your kind words of suppprt. We've been together 8 years and live together. I'm the unemployed one - I had a career at the same company for 10 years and became physically disabled before I got laid off. I've applied for hundreds upon hundreds of jobs since my layoff 4 months ago and can't even land a single interview, but he isn't saving a penny or taking it seriously. That's what's scary - that when I was laid off I found out he hadn't done any saving for our whole relationship, and now 4 months down the road of me out of work (still paying my share of everything, haven't asked him to pick up any slack) he still hasn't saved a penny... and is now talking about what to do with "our investment." 

I am disabled enough to stop working, but disability benefits will never be enough to live off of. I supported him when he made near-minimum wage, supported him to go back to school, supported him through a career change, and now I'm laid off and he isn't interested in returning the favor (and he makes plenty to save.) I did all the saving. We live in a very HCOL area and are both estranged from abusive family. I'm disabled enough to need help with daily life, so I can't do roommates like I've done in the past, nor can either of us afford to live alone. I'm really, truly stuck for awhile, but your comments have helped affirm what I was feeling inside and I know even if I can't leave, I can make changes now to stop feeding into his immaturity. This was really vulnerable to share, it's scary to be alone in the world and struggle with daily tasks. But I know something better is coming. Thank you Apettes.*

This journey with GME, strangely, has helped me see that my boyfriend isn't willing to put in the same amount of work as I am and is content to ride my coattails.  3 years of aggressive saving on my end to grow my stonks into a sizable investment, I was recently laid off and found out he hadn't saved or invested a penny all this time. Four months of unemployment later, not a single interview, and he just revealed he still hasn't saved or invested anything. Now that GME is making moves, he keeps talking about "our" investment and what he's going to do with it. I feel so disappointed I was willing to settle for this behavior for this long. I'm disabled and that has added a layer of complexity. Many days I wish I knew some apettes to chat with about it and get some perspective. As we get closer to the end, I'm not so sure I'm willing to keep sharing with someone who was content with watching me give my blood, sweat and tears to our life while he stood by and did nothing. I want to start over by myself. Just me and my stonk. Can't afford it yet. But I'm glad GME revealed to me how hard I can work, how capable I am, and how much I'm worth. Thanks for listening Apettes. I hodl for independence.

Over the past 3 years I've done some pretty creative things behind Wendy's to continue buying stonks. My former husband always supported me, though was never interested in GME himself, or investing for that matter. I gave him some shares when we divorced so he'll be taken care of...felt good. I'll have to walk him through the sell process if that is ever necessary, haha!

Never posted a purple circle due to total mistrust of the internet, and also, as someone else mentioned, the OG philosophy of not posting positions. I'm hodling a respectable amount, and am proud to keep adding. No cell, no sell.

Been here for the entire ride since pre-sneeze. This whole experience has completely changed me and the way I see media and the events going on around the world and it blows my mind that everything is connected. That this corruption has been allowed to go on for so long that the only people not in over their heads are the people who found their way to this small community.

Here, DRS’d & hodling since summer 2021. I would have been holding since January 2021 but our youngest had a huge open heart surgery that spring and we got out of every investment at that time - we needed every cent we could scrape together (traveled across the country). I also couldn’t see thinking about investments ever again if things went badly.

Thankfully, surgery went well and I jumped back in as soon as I could think about anything except trying to get her recovered. I have so many more than I started with, even pre-split.

I think I’m feeling some dopamine withdrawal today after all the excitement last week lol, but I’m not going anywhere, my default is zen mode!

Purchased my first share in Jan 21. I had just payed off my student loan that fall so I had been looking into stock trading with my freed up income for fun. Bought some stocks that fall, then happened to be on fb when one of my fuck capitalists group was posting about hedge funds getting screwed so I hopped on over, and bought partial shares initially as a joke just to screw with hedgies cause I assumed I missed the opportunity to buy in. But I wanted to help everyone else. Turns out, it’s never too late to buy, hodl and DRS. I’ve been enjoying the dips the past few years and finally am an XXX holder. The longer this goes on the more I’ll buy. I’ll confess that the dip down to $10 scared me off from buying more for a while cause I had some important bills. But I never stopped believing in something. The past week proved to me it’s not over, and GME is not going bankrupt anytime soon so I can wait years if I have to. They still are short, they never closed out and GS can survive longer than they can.
