So how many people are happy their family went to the Lilac Parade tonight?
QuestionIt was 1 person shot..inside a business.. totally unrelated to the parade.
It seems you didn’t get the republican talking points for this evening.
Everyone should stay at home and keep the blinds shut until the end of time.
A totally unrealted shooting to the parade, but go off. People like you will act like crime is at an all time high when in reality its at a historic low.
We all had a good time :)
We had a great time. Wish it started an hour earlier just to make it not so late for little kids given that this a long parade
Yeah a 7:30 start time is...late for little kids!! 5:30 sounds more reasonable 😂🤔
I asked my little cousin if he wanted to go but he didn't want to walk home from the bus stop that long after his bedtime. So I said maybe we can go next year.
I really enjoyed watching it, especially all the high school marching bands. Thanks to everyone who made the parade possible!
Hey I say it's better than a backpack bomb at a different parade.
Awww, you didn't get to go!? Have you ever? I'm glad my family went and were blocks away from that!
I didn't go this year because it wasn't fun last year. People can't keep their kids from bothering everyone around them
Cool to be blocks away from a shooting!
Boy you’d hate Mardi Gras in New Orleans then
Honestly, I do! Very little of interest at Mardi Gras, though, our little town parade should be considered far more family friendly. It was good, just a lack of information to the masses when people were a bit panicky.
Playing music and marching was the highlight of my parade (and having a huge delay right before our turn to march due to the shooting)
I am glad I continue to support the city I love by attending the events that make it special.
Spokane Doesn’t Suck!!
OP, like you I wish they’d just ban firearms, but I don’t think we should stop living our lives and continuing traditions. It is however very important to vote for funding for mental health, social services, and education if we want to see long lasting change.
Glad it wasn’t crashed by fascists, despite them trying to control the narrative and spread fear about it.

Delusional fear of fascists. It is not a delusion what the proud boys were trying to do in cda. My comment was referring to the op trying to bring fear into the family event after the fact. A common fascist tactic is to try to make you live in fear. Therefore the op is trying to control the narrative using fascist tactics of making everyone afraid of innocuous events. OP is scared of the world. Its pathetic.

It’s delusional to be wary of groups that explicitly state they want to incite violence and cause harm to minorities? Wow, okay.

Buddy you are the delusional one if you don’t think fascist groups like the Proud Boys aren’t a problem around here. Any group that exists solely to intimidate people and cause harm is most definitely a problem, and there has absolutely been an increase in that kind of activity over the years. You’re either willfully ignorant or complicit.

Worst event planning I’ve seen in this city yet… just a sad sad excuse to waste time, money, and energy.. I watched the entire “parade” go down a block that was completely cleared of just about everyone. What was the point of it going so late?!
Me. I am glad we went. We love all the marching bands. I love seeing the enraptured looks on kids' faces watching the big military vehicles drive by. I love the lighted floats and the enthusiasm of all the participants. It was fun. And I won't stop doing fun things like this out of fear.
