High ball is a nice cocktail lounge if you're looking for a chill atmosphere. Or the Treasury, Hello Hi, Carpenter Bar or the fur vault near Parker's Bistro. Rowdier bars would be Lucky's, Wiley's, or Pave.
Where are you based for your stay? What do you like to drink? Do you like a certain vibe (pool/darts, just sit, dance, etc.)? How stereotypically "Texas" are you?
For instance, if you're politically conservative, we certainly wouldn't want to send you to Club David. If you like craft beers we've got great ones. If you like a simple dive we've got plenty. Fancy drinks? Got em. Pool and darts? Got great spots I love.
We have bars catering to all sorts of folks, but we've gotta know what's close to you and what you like!
Windy City Bites is an up and coming spot downtown. It's a sports bar with Chicago-style and Caribbean food + cocktails. It's @ 114 N Indiana Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57103. They do all you can eat full-sized fried chicken wings for $1 each on Wednesday's with a variety of dry rubs and sauces so that is a good time to go.
Bin201/Stogeez has THE BEST outdoor patio in the summer. Live music 3 nights a week (usually starts at 7), and a food truck too. The crowd shifts around 10pm to the younger crowd and the lines for drinks get a little longer, but they tend to stand around, so finding a place to sit isn’t much of a problem.
