Both Baghel and Baaz sound like great names imo!

If you're in the West tho, a name like "Baghel" might get pronounced like "bagel", which is a popular ring shaped bread product similar to a donut/doughnut.

Also, "Baaj" is an alternative pronounciation of "Baaz", so both names would work well for a Singh :)

Other names could be like the following:

• Bal/Baal Singh, (pronounced "Bahl") from the prefix "Bal", in Punjabi, meaning mighty
  • But also, this name sounds similar to "ball", which is probably not a great name for a boy.
• Baan Singh, (pronounced "Bahn") as a male form of Bani, that refers to the Sikh texts.
• Brahm Singh, (pronounced "Brah-m") which means God, in Punjabi, and is also a Hebrew/Germanic name, so Westerners are more likely to pronounce it correctly.

Congrats, theres many names with B, Baaz is a great one Bahadur, Bisan, Bhagwan(used by older generations) I also thought of Brahmvir, just some unique ones I think would be good. Cause many names are too comon ie: Baljit, Balwinder.

Thank you everyone for taking out time and suggesting beautiful names. My wife and I both enjoyed going through various names suggested and contemplated on each one.

After much thought and discussion, we finally ended up naming our Baby Boy ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ (Bal-E-haar). I think we will end up spelling it as Balhaar.
