My opinion: Terrible idea. I've been going to car meets/shows and the drag strip for 12 years straight since I was 18 and never understood this even when it became popular. I love slammed cars and I think that a properly done setup on bags looks phenomenal. None of them need extreme camber or a 165 tire stretched onto a 12" rim and theyre all functional, even at the drag strip cutting 1.6 60' times.

I have, however seen multiple people wreck their shit, tear up bumpers/fenders and wheels because of insane amounts of camber, and 2 cumulative inches of contact patch with the ground between all four tires.

Nothing like a set of 400$ raceland coilovers tightened all the way down to make your shitbox ride like a see-saw at approximately 22mph. lmao

Camber looks dumb, and is rarely useful outside of appearance, barring some extreme drivers. In these situations, camber away. But a squatted car still looks dumb when it's only purpose is stance imo. It looks nice on a track where it's getting heavily taken advantage of though.

Personally, I don't think I would use it, and everyone would slam it to the extremes or dead center as a meme.

I was thinking of all the possible customization options, but then I realized that there might be some charm in having fixed color variations of the same item. Having colored wheels in Rocket League feels like proudly wearing a prize.

Same joy cannot come from the complete customization freedom, unfortunately. There is no rarity nor sense of achievement nor prestige in RGB-wheel coloring for every item with no exception.

This is very ghetto. But I have a feeling that this is the path Epic is choosing to go down considering just how tone deaf they’ve been ever since acquiring RL.

I am intrigued by this idea, although this isn’t just a cosmetic, flip resets would be easier if tires were pointed inwards, small amount of range for hitting the ball, someone will make a perfect camber amount to win kick off by just jumping at the ball and letting the front two tires stick out etc.

If it was added it would be exclusive to one car being sold for 20$ and a 30$ bundle

Everyone shitting on this idea just because they personally might not like it, and I agree it’s not the first thing I’d add right now, but the recent”what if” posts have demonstrated several very very simple additions which would at least make the game feel less stale after 7 years since we last had a real new game mode (drop shot came out in 2017 and the LTMs we’ve had since are weak low effort attempts not worth talking about.

A take that expects people to keep buying cosmetics should still be innovating on the game as well, game modes and new customisation options (other than static car models) sound exactly like what the game needs to me

Although a lot of time camber in the front or rear of a car is a shitty car mod. A lot didn't seem to realize that camber is common in a lot of sedans and 4 door cars. It's more popularized in the drifting scene due to the fact that when you have camber in the front of your wheels It actually increases traction in the front of the wheels due to the weight offset of the car in the corner

I could probably go on a longer more boring coping paragraph (due to me liking camber) but it is a shitty car mod more than half of the time but it has its uses

They’ve been removing features for over 2 years and you expect them to bring something new?

People would avoid the camber because it would either change how flip resets and tire hits work functionally, or it would be less accurate visually. And Epic would never okay tire color. They want us to spend money on that ability.

I like designing and customization options are a great thing.

They would never do it like this because they could just sell you every single wheel in the game again but with camber each for $5

now they will add it to the store for 2000 cr and then put it to 700 cr after a couple of days, act like it was a mistake, then act like it never happened.
