* Please don't post NSFW content.

* Ask yourself if /r/Reno is really the best place to put your post.

**2. Be civil towards others, even if you disagree with them.** 

* Respect the opinions of others and treat them with dignity regardless of their gender, race, political beliefs, religion, appearance, or sexual orientation.

* Insulting, harassing, threatening, or using slurs towards other users will not be tolerated and can result in the removal of your comment and a temporary or permanent ban.

* /r/Reno is not the place to publicly shame businesses or people. No witch-hunts allowed.

* Doxing or threats of violence should be reported here: https://www.reddit.com/report immediately.

**3. Keep It Local**

* Please keep posts specific to the Reno Nevada metropolitan area. Posts may include topics regarding the greater areas nearby (eg: Tahoe, Carson City, Fernley, Truckee, etc). Posts not related to the greater Reno area will be removed.

* Please avoid posting links to articles not directly related to Reno. Make a self-post instead. Include links, facts, and data presented in a coherent manner, don't just let Fox or CNN be your mouthpiece. 

**4. Common Questions**

* PLEASE SEARCH before posting! Especially when it's a "Where is the best..." kind of question. Sure enough, someone has probably already asked the question you want an answer to. If you're still unable to find your answer after doing a quick search, go ahead and post your question.

**5. This Isn't Craigslist**

* Users who only use Reddit to dump links to their website or ads for their business will be banned. However, promoting local public events is allowed.

* Looking to post a job? Wanting to advertise a Garage Sale? Do it on /r/RenoClassifieds

* We're all about supporting each other! But spammy (pro-business, non-special event focused) and fundraising (Kickstarter, GoFundMe, etc.) posts will be removed.
