Personally, and I hope some of yall take to the comments with this one, I think the White Fang needs to be portrayed as the active force of good that they are supposed to be, and not just more mooks to beat up. They were portrayed so fucking badly that the best way to describe it is literally "how two uninformed middle class white guys interpret the black panther party". They literally glorify peaceful protest and ignore that peace doesnt always work, and even still, the black panthers had a peaceful side to them anyway, especially when it came to charity movements like getting lunch for young black kids in school.
(NOTE: I DO in fact think peaceful protest is good, and should be encouraged as at least a first resort, but by saying "peace good, action bad", it takes away nuance, and the necessity of more potent and meaningful actions that often truly drive progress forward.)
The White Fang should be like the Black Panthers were, a self defense and support group for the Faunus. Likewise, the Faunus oppression should be more blatant and clear, and if they really wanna be daring, they can even have Ruby and Yang have unaware biases or minor bigotries they have to become aware of, while Weiss has to take longer to get over her own learned racism.
EDIT: I’m okay with Adams splinter group existing and even the good members having problems. You dont have to go the opposite extreme and say the White Fang did or do nothing wrong, but at least don’t turn the whole thing into villain mook army number 1006.
