Hi there. I leave for Alaska in just a week. Any tips or do’s and don’ts?
Thank you!
Pack cold medicines just in case. Hard to find things onboard the ship- so any and all over the counter meds- bring. If you have room- nice to bring a comfy robe for sitting on the balcony or wearing to and from the pools and hot tubs.
Great tips thanks
If you request it, your steward will bring you a robe to use for the length of the cruise.
Yeah those robes aren't warm and cozy though. They are waffle fabric, thin and small
This is true. They're adequate for my needs and my cushy robe would just take too much room in my suitcase.
Yeah- I know right
Don’t try to go up the midship stairs at deck 7.
Hand sanitize after everything you touch. Avoid people that are coughing and sneezing. If you get in a crowded elevator, put on a mask.
Wear layers, don’t get cheap binoculars because you will regret it, thermals and a beanie were a lifesaver for Glacier Bay and College Fjord.
Exciting! We just got back, deff dress like an onion— & layer up, the more north you are the colder it can get. We were lucky, but pack a waterproof jacket just in case.
If you’re serious about wildlife/views, invest in some nice binoculars.
For the robes, if you got the Princess Plus Package, you can room service robes so you no need to pack them.
If you thought a crewmember did an exceptional job, you may tip them cash. So bring cash for that, and casino if you’re gambling.
Your cruise most likely will have formal night, so bring a set of clothes to dress up (if you feel like participating).
Enjoyyyy the beauty!!
