Sorry if this sort of question isn't allowed, but at Sephora I tried out Mon Paris & liked it a lot. It had this really nice after scent, kind of like champagne. It was also really sweet & fruity. New to this, sorry if this isn't the right terms. But after I got it actually (From Ulta Beauty) it smells...extremely floral & not sweet at all & missing the champagne after scent. I don't like extremely floral perfumes. Any advice? Does it change over time? Thank you so much in advance!
You bought the same one you tried at Sephora, right?
Yes, I took a photo & everything to make sure it's the same. It's just the basic Mon Paris EDP.
Maybe it needs to be macerated a little bit
Would it work? It's just extremely floral & has no after scent at all, could macerating really make it change so much?
For me it becomes very sweet during dry down, but the opening is very fruity and then soft floral.
Yeah, it's barely fruity. It's more similar to Miss Dior EDP which is strange.
Definitely let it macerate for a few weeks and try it again.
Alright, thank you for your advice :) I'll try it out
I have Mon Paris and Mon Paris Intense. Mon Paris is very fruity and the intense has more of a floral scent to me. If you’re sure you got the right one then return it and order it from Sephora or Macys. Maybe you got a bad one who knows
It's so odd, I'm sure it's the normal one too. There's no way it smells so different & is missing an entire afterscent. When you got Mon Paris, it didn't smell extremely floral like Miss Dior EDP, did it? That's what it reminds me of right now.
No, it did not. I would of returned it lol I hate floral scents
I ended up returning it 😭 I didn't feel like waiting for weeks for it to smell nice, I'll try & find something else that smells like it originally did 🥲
If you loved it so much, try ordering it from another company just in case you got a bad batch. It happens sometimes with perfumes
