Good Restaurant Recommendations in Munich

If you want excquisite local/Bavarian cuisine I can recommend the "Wirtshaus zum goldenen M".

Spatenhaus an der Oper- Bavarian restaurant Trachtenvogl- breakfast Hofbrauhaus(in platzl)- iconic bear house Andy’s krablergarten- delish schnitzel place with nice outdoor sitting

May (Bergmannstraße) is absolutely amazing for Vietnamese Food.

Iveria is really good.

But in general Munich is very boring and overpriced restaurant-wise, it used to be way better pre-Covid but now it is just atrocious. So don’t expect much.

The Hofbräuhaus is by far the most famous and touristy Bavarian restaurant in Munich, but the food is actually quite good. There's even a song about the Hofbräuhaus lol. Best Kaiserschmarrn ever.

I also like Augustiner Bräustuben near Hackerbrücke. I think it has a nice Bavarian atmosphere and it's right next to the Augustiner brewery (Augustiner is kind of the "typical" Munich beer).

For a bit more pricey but still somewhat Bavarian food eat at Blauer Block at Viktualienmarkt. I had a very tasty 5 course meal once but the chef has changed and I haven't eaten there since.

And a really really really hidden germ is the Pils Corner in München Moosach. It's nowhere near any tourist attractions and looks like a small pub where some old alcoholics are drinking in the dark but the food is actually great. You should make a reservation even on weekdays. One of the top 10 restaurants on trip advisor.
