After a week of my brain shutting down confused and frustrated with how I was feeling about everything I made the most official resignation I knew how. Thanks for all the advice and laughs on my last post fam š hereās to me signing off āØ

Not gonna lie ... this is by far the best resignation letter I've seen in a long time.
Thank uuu I mean my resume is almost the same as this but detailed about me ahha. Iām just like if youāre gonna hire me you should get a good sense of my personality first! āØ
As a retail manager I love and adore this so much! The most interesting resignation letter Iāve gotten was a crumpled receipt paper š¤·š»āāļø

Writing is writing! My last serving job I quit with a stickie note at 11pm on the managers computer saying āthis was (names) last shift!ā
at my last serving job i turned in my notice on the backside of the paper we used to write down orders. thinking it was just some stupid cat drawing, my manager threw it away without reading it & was surprised when i mentioned something about my last day a few days later

I have done the exact same thing as a line cook, but the gm did ask me to fill in for two shifts she couldnāt get covered and since her and I were on good terms so I helped her out.
It felt good though lol

Of course, I get hired because I stand out from the first impression. Iāve seen so many basic poorly formatted resumes in my time. If you have something unique to bring to the table try and show it via your introduction
Omg thatās so awesome!! Iāll have to try it out for my resume next time I apply for a job (or just ahead of time so I have it ready ahehehe) I know I originally wanted my resume printed out on watercolor styled cloud patterned heavy printing paper but āit wasnāt professionalā so my teacher who was teaching us how to make resumes told me I couldnāt do that. :ā)
Also the resumes she taught us to make suck ass. She wanted us to have giant ass resumes with PARAGRAPHS OF INFORMATION GOING INTO EVERY DETAIL POSSIBLE and it made my family concerned when I showed them my resume wondering why I wasnāt getting hired. It was 4 fucking pages long.
Geeze no no no. Resume must hit the important points, keep it brief but concise, highlight your proud qualities, and a description of your past experiences!
u need to teach like a course or something on interesting and weāll designed resumes bc iām obsessed w this resignation and as a 21 yr old i have no idea how to be fun and professional

Somewhat relevant: I quit my first job with a small cake once. All it said was "I quit" in nice frosting script and flowers. Walked in, gave it to my boss, and left. Granted, they didn't deserve a notice, they were asshole pos, who treated us all like subhuman garbage.
Way to take the high road, even if managers like that definitely don't deserve cake!
They definitely didn't. But I was an 18 year old people pleaser who had just had enough. "If I give them cake, maybe they won't be as mad"

When I wrote my resignation letter, I typed it up and printed it out at the store, but the printer was fucked up, so it printed it reeeeeeeeeeally tiny in one corner of the paper, and I hated my boss so much I couldn't be chuffed to fix it, and handed it to her like that.
the last job i put in a 2 weeks notice at i literally just wrote my last day on the day off request calendar and said nothing. the manager didnāt notice and asked me where i was the day after my last day. i donāt like to fuck places over but i also give zero shits about a job that still asked me to come in while i was out on bereavement

This is an adorable resignation letter. I wanted to get a āsorry for your lossā card for my manager when I left and write āItās me, Iām your lossā inside, but I put it off for too long and left without doing it. I thought it would be really funny though, because I knew they were going to struggle without me.
Technically I think I resigned by text, I texted my boss that I was going for another job posted within our company, then a week later I texted that I got the job and when I was leaving.
I love this. My last two resignations have been seven poorly-pasted-together postit notes and a crumpled, ripped piece of notebook paper that told them my last day available and that the shift was once again their problem solely.
