Be'Lakor has so many beautiful tracks. It's difficult to choose! Probably my favorite melodeath group right there. Banger riff after banger riff, it never ends with them.
This or Orion is the only answer. I’m listening to so many others people are mentioning and I understand it’s subjective but they’re just good songs..but not nearly as beautifully done or as haunting as TLITD or Orion.
My most listened artist is Avenged Sevenfold and my favorite band is Alice In Chains but I have listened to the Pain Remains album more than any other album ever. It's just so emotional combined with heaviness which I absolutely enjoy. Especially the trilogy and Soulless Existence.
They’re all super down to earth. They did an AMA a while back and I asked about some composition techniques they use as well as thanking them for inspiring me to start writing my own music. Jamie DMed me asking for a link to my music and gave feedback on it, lll forever support those guys!
I decided to take a listen to Earthside after reading your comment and some others, holy shit it's good, I'm definitely going to be jamming out to this for a while.
Earthside absolutely rules! And they make a killer combo with Daniel Tompkins. Let The Truth Speak is up there for me. Saw them a couple months ago too and they killed it (and were the nicest dudes to talk to)
Let The Truth Speak is a fkn journey, love that track. I’d love to see a full length album of Earthside with Dan’s vocals bc his voice is just too perfect for their music.
Genocide for Praise - Allegaeon (and all of Greg’s acoustic parts on any album for that matter). Godhead’s Lament - Opeth. Tempting Time by Animals as Leaders.
Cosmic definitely came to mind first, but then there's also most of Nightmare, Radiant Eclipse, Clairvoyant Disease, Higher, Roman Sky, the second third of Exist, Unbound: The Wild Ride, Coming Home, Sidewinder, MIA... the list goes on
I'm sure if I keep thinking I can think of others, but Meridian is the first song that came to mind with the keywords metal and beautiful. Then Panopticon because Meridian reminds me of it. Deftones has a lot of beautiful songs, but for me they're not "metal".
Ah man that’s tough to pick one. I kind of want to give it to David Maxim Micic - Where is now? But it’s hard to pass up Nightwish, Devin Townsend, some of Mechinas stuff with Melrose and Persefones Spirtual migration album.
Im still set in my ways with the genre that opened a metric fuckload of new sounds in the world of music (not limited to just metal). The sound that i have been craving my entire life until i discovered it back in 2014 or so. My pick is Inis Mona by Eluveitie.
