What is a heros discount?
They have discounts for veterans/military, health care workers, vets, teachers and some other areas that fall under the hero discounts.
Do you know how to go about getting the discount for teachers?
If I'm not mistaken, you just let them know, and they just add it on
Awesome thank you!
Student discount is there too
at minimum 30% off, then i think it's worth it. otherwise, not really.
I love the pillowsac.
Prior to our purchase, we had looked at a ton of sectionals that somewhat fit our need. Once you start looking at something custom or high end that's not custom made, price wise, they're all in the same price point as a sactional. We went with LoveSac primarily due to the 30% off and it checked off all of our boxes. The fact that we can re-arrange it and it's dang comfy makes it worth it for us. It's in our media room though. Not sure I'd want one for our living room with it being a focal point piece of furniture. Would I have paid full price? No way.
The sac, sactional, stealthtec… what are we talking about?
I’m no sac aficionado, i think sactional. Not sure what a stealthtec is
Sactional is the modular couch. Stealthtech is the built in speaker system you can buy for the couches. Sacs are the bean bags.
I have landfilled so many couches over 4 decades +. Is a sactional worth it? Absolutely, if you are looking long term (and get a great discount or from Costco). But if you just need something for 2 to 3 years… or are very easy on furniture (light weight and low usage)… grab cheap sectionals and toss them as they wear out.
We had gone through couches every two years for a while. Some expensive too. But when we got our sanctional, I don’t see another couch anytime soon! We have kids and cats and it has been so easy clean and hold shape. Totally worth it in our case.
It’s not the most comfortable but ours has been drawn on, puked on, peed on, etc. and looks brand new after 5 years almost.
My parents buy nice furniture ($10k tables, $15k couches, etc.). Their stuff is nice and comfortable.
That being said, I have gotten more complements about how comfortable my Lovesac sactional and sacs are than about anything else I have ever owned (furniture or not). And definitely more than my parents get.
I got everything new/direct from Lovesac but on sale.
Love your comment, super helpful, thanks!
Do you mind if I ask if you went with lovesoft or regular? As well as if it’s straight or angled backs? Been lurking for a while and I think we may go ahead and buy if they do a good 4th of July sale!
Go for the regular they last so much better!
Our Sactional is still going strong after 7 years, easiest couch to move (moved 3 times). Also great to have the option to orient our L in whatever direction fits the room… also love that if for some crazy reason a piece does break, you just need to replace one piece and not get a new couch
I want to get a sactional but am concerned about a moves in the future (I move a lot with my job). I want to upgrade my current couch but don't want to spend 1k or more on just an ok couch and then buy a lovesac in a few years. My question is... How do you keep it safe/prevent damage during moves?
I’ve got the 4 seat size or whatever they call it. So it comes out to 4 base blocks, 4 base cushions, 4 back pillows/cushions and 5 wall pieces. We have kept the fabric covers on all of it during the moves.
About half the pieces mentioned are cushions/pillows so they serve as a buffer against other items in the truck “protecting” the wall and base pieces that have less structural flexibility. We normally lay a moving blanket or two down on the floor of the truck for the base pieces and then put everything in vertically. As long as you protect any exposed fabric against the floor of the truck and keep it away from sharp edges of other furniture pieces it’ll be just fine. Or throw a blanket over any part you think may be susceptible to damage from other items.
The wood floor mounts did get scratched up a bit through the years but those are under your couch and not visible so shrug.
Thanks for the info!
I think it depends on what you are looking for in regards to a couch. I have a sactional, and while I do love it, it can be annoying with the cushion moving since the only thing keeping them on the base are little velcro spots. The back pillows looks their fluff so I have to fluff them constantly. Sometimes you just want a recliner to sit in lol.
Not even a littleÂ
We finally bit the bullet after trying a few cheaper options, and I am not disappointed. We have a very small living space in our house, so we got the 4 seater sactional (one seat is used as a chaise, 2 are storage seats) with 3 straight backs and roll arm sides with the upgraded filling.
It was a little bit of a pain to put together (from boxes in the driveway to fully assembled was about 2.5 hours - primarily myself doing the majority of the assembly other than getting some help putting covers on). I’m 6’2” and I think that helped with reach when maneuvering things around.
It’s sturdy, the material is comfy and feels very sturdy (two cats and two kids, so I hope I’m right). It wasn’t cheap, and it does require assembly, which is somewhat difficult, but I’m not mad about the purchase at all.
Always wanted a Sactional, finally bought a new house and convinced my wife it was the couch we needed. Got 35% off (30% for Memorial Day, 5% cause my wife is a teacher). Once it came it was a beast to put everything together but the minute my wife sat on it she said “this might be the best purchase we ever made”.
My sactional has been assembled for about a week and I think I will be returning it. I don’t know how I missed that the seat backs are very low - something I always try to avoid. Lounging across the seats is super comfy but sitting for long periods of time? No way. Also, I know that the washable covers are promoted as a big selling point but there are TONS of sofas w washable covers, including my Pottery Barn sofa in the living room. I thought THAT was expensive when I bought it and can’t believe I spent almost 3 times as much for the LoveSac. My verdict: not worth it.
Did you get the extra cushioning option and you still cant sleep on it?? Ive got PTSD from a room & board couch that I cant stand bc its so hard. Your review is causing me second thoughts on LoveSac
I have the LoveSoft fill. To clarify, it is very comfortable to lie across the cushions. What is not comfortable is sitting on the couch. I also ordered the Home Reserve alternative that I learned about on here to try out while I’m still in the LoveSac return window.
Interesting…. So in a pit configuration where youre laying/sleeping or laying sitting up would be comfortable? Never heard of home reserve. Ill look into them too.
I’m talking about just sitting on it. As a couch. Not talking about lying on it. It is uncomfortable to sit and watch tv etc as you would on any couch.
Have you seen one in person? I spent about an hour at their showroom this weekend. On the same day, I visited Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, & Crate and Barrel. We are looking to replace our ~10 year old Broyhil.
The couches are comfortable but not the most comfortable. Their fabric selection is limited (and ugly), the finishings on the edges of the covers are sloppy, and the piping details on the back sag/are never straight even in store. And, if you go with angled backs or the wedge option, the corners have awkward gaps that can be seen from behind (our couch will be floating in the middle of the living room, the finishes would not be hidden against a wall). For the 8k couch we were quoted (after discounts), I was apaulled.
Not at all. Had I known it's just a box and durafoam, I would have made it myself.
Not worth it. I should have returned it immediately but I didn’t feel like packing it all back up.
With the costco deal I am very happy with my purchase. I have a kid, cats, dogs, etc and being able to wash/replace the covers (and really any part of the couch) was a big selling point for me. I also love being able to move and reconfigure the couch around if we are having big family events like for Thanksgiving and Christmas because normally the couch is focused around the TV. I have the standard fill and have no problems with the cushions moving around or needing to be fluffed yet. Over time I think it will save us money because if something needs to be replaced I don't need to replace the entire couch. If I need something smaller, I already have it and if I need something larger I can add to it.
I just got mine last Wednesday and I love it. I went for standard sides and angled backs. I also went with the regular cushions. I don’t really like a soft seat so the seat is very firm. My two cushions in the middle are standard and then I did deep on the ends. So it looks like a giant u shaped couch. We chose the corded velvet sky grey because we do have a cat and three dogs. The couch is super comfy for my husband and I. The assembly part was horrible. I have bruises on my arms a week later. I did it while my husband was at work so no second person to help. Even though assembly was the worst part, looking back I would get another for my basement and my main living room.
I love my Sactional.
I will give my unbiased/unpopular review and say no for the couch and a def yes for the lovesac beanbag
Any particular reason for the no?
I personally feel that the modularity is a gimmick in our situation. In addition the sofa is extremely hard and feels like a dense patio furniture. The apparent solution to breaking in the sofa is rotating every seat for 3 months.
Me and my wife were appalled however, what did it for us was when our guest as well complained how uncomfortable it was. The sofa was immediately returned to costco.
Got a fabric sofa with power recliners for 1/6 of the price and couldn't be happier.
We’re returning ours. It’s just not comfortable, sadly. We got the Lovesac fill which we loved in the showroom, but when you sit for longer than ten minutes the backs press into your neck/head/back and cause pain. The back pillows need to be doubled up to give enough support. The narrow seats are too narrow and the deep seats need extra hardware that Costco didn’t provide.
Is there any way to get the discount off of just covers? Looking to buy the charcoal corded velvet but at the regular prices it would be over $1500
When they do the 30% off everything sales it applies to covers by themselves, too.
I bought one in 2021 and got rid of it in early 2024 (gave it to my daughter). I found it to be not that comfortable and the quality of the fabric was just so-so.
What interior did you have?
See if Costco has it- get the Costco warranty! Also the price is pretty good! Literally worth every penny.Â
If you want a sectional and want to be able to reconfigure it, and you can get a decent sale price, yes. Else…. Ehh…. We got one earlier this year because we need a sectional that breaks down into small pieces to get it into my finished basement which has tricky narrow doorways, stairs, and corners to navigate. It’s the best couch we’ve had in terms of the complete lack of hassle in getting it into the house. By nearly every other measure it is not close to the best couch I’ve owned or experienced. It’s marginally comfortable, a dull design, and pretty expensive.
Besides the ability to get it into tight spaces, I think the only other advantage it has is washable covers. The notion of buying new covers is a novel idea, but they’re pretty expensive.
Got ours on the same discount every one else is preaching amount (35% in showroom + 10% heroes) - 4 seats (1 w/ storage) deep config for about 3100ish, and it’s incredibly comfy. Already had to wash a cover from one of our toddlers spilling my wife’s coffee on it. Already in love with it. Thinkin about adding an extra seat but we are tremendously satisfied!
I looked at a lot of modular couches online and I'm happy with our choice now 14 months later. Setup is a pain and you can't half ass or the couch will look wonky, but once set up it's very comfortable (standard cushions) and versatile . We did get 35% off as others here have. If you do make the leap I recommend buying an extra set of covers so you don't have an uncovered couch for a few hours when you eventually wash a set.
A lot of people in this sub are going to tell you yes, but I’m here to honestly tell you no. A new LoveSac sactional is absolutely not worth it. It was the biggest financial mistake of my life & here’s a review of my experience with the product. If you absolutely want the LoveSac brand I highly recommend going for one of the older models on Marketplace as they sparingly pop up because the quality of the newer ones have tanked drastically (just like everything else, yay capitalism!) If I could turn back time and had known about the brand I would’ve gotten a Belffin modular sofa.
I say yes, is the most comfortable couch I've owned but I waited for a good discount, try to score one of the 35% off or 30% plus 10% heros discount. At full price is not worth it in my opinion.
