Serious Question for Lawyers: What can Biden ACTUALLY do with the new powers granted to him?
Long-time lurker, first time poster. Obviously Reddit is flooded with understandably appropriate responses to the SCOTUS ruling, but it is hard to distinguish what's truly possible based on a lot of sensationalism (put them all in jail, seal team six, lock up proudboys / future SA members). Biden also seems to not want to abuse these powers, which I understand the frustration with but am happy he chooses to not denigrate the office further.
As a non-lawyer, I would like to ask:
What can Biden truly do with these powers? What is something he can do that will not be seen as an abuse by the average American?
