To clarify, I'm doing doing *anything* that causes pain, unnecessarily. Just trying to find ways to become pain-free. Not sure what you're alluding to or why you felt the need to spend time writing an ignorant comment rather than just scrolling past it.
Coming from someone that can’t spell simple this is a bit rich. Your advice is also terrible. So literally, if you aren’t educated or going to provide helpful advice then just don’t type anything.
Are you talking with the ATG coaches much? Have you tried knee flossing? You probably need to regress the ATG split squats so there is no discomfort. Either by raising the foot or limiting depth. Sometimes doing them with the knee flosser makes it pain free for me if I'm having discomfort. I would get yourself a sled or do something DIY like pulling heavy chains backwards down the street or backwards walk up progressively steeper inclines until you feel some different muscle activation. Hire a different physio, get a fresh start. Or try the curable app or Alan Gordon's book "the way out". The more you fear and hyperfocus on your issue the more your brain will continue to make it hurt. Rather than "going insane" I would focus on trying new things and give up the activities that continue to make you hurt so you can find new joy in life.
I have tried easier versions of the atg squat without much success. I also floss most days where I workout me legs. It does help short term. I'm definitely going to try get second opinions and and a new physio (although my current orthopedic doctors are supposed to be the best in the city). Thanks for the recommendations, I'm gonna check out the app/book! Thing about "trying new things" is that I have been doing that methodically for 6 years now, without improvement. I'm certainly not continuing activities that cause more pain.

Thats simpel.. You're an idiot.. Why do you keep pushing yourself through various execies or sports when your body is clearly telling you to stop? Stop all exercies that causes pain during and after any activity .. Its that simpel.. if u cant manage that, theres not much hope for you.
