I listening and saying...I haven't heard of these players...and sure enough, I haven't. I knew it was Blakey, and listened for Wayne, Freddie, or even JJ but no these guys were a late group I had never heard so I didn't recognize the playing...
Fabulous stuff...vintage Blakey sound!

One of my fav albums. Especially the tune "One for All" written by trombonist Steve Davis which then became the name of his group. They've been compared the Jazz Messengers. Joe Farnsworth on drums is always killing. Eric Alexander has become one of my fav sax players.
